Peggy: When we missed the connection in London to Cape Town.
Claire: Missing our plane connection to South Africa.
What was the best moment in the Race?
Peggy: Hang-gliding in Rio.
Claire: Hang-gliding--soaring over the beaches of Rio was fantastic.
When and how was your relationship with your teammate strengthened or changed?
Peggy: Our relationship has always been fun and still is.
Claire: We were friends when we started and we're still friends, but we know a lot more about each other's idiosyncrasies.
Is there any place you'd revisit, or wish you had been able to visit?
Peggy: Wish we could have gone to Russia!
Claire: I wish we had gone to Santiago, Chile.
If you could do the Race over, what would you do differently?
Peggy: Memorize credit card numbers.
Claire: Pay more attention to the race and less to our surroundings. We were in some beautiful places.
Of all the things you packed, what was the most useful?
Peggy: Our meds.
Claire: My "Women Rule" baseball cap from Fire Island.
What did you wish you'd brought with you, but didn't?
Peggy: My family.
Claire: A couple of strong young men to carry me!
