What was your worst moment in the Race?
Heather: The worst moment was definitely being at the Pit Stop in Portugal and seeing all of the other Teams come in sweating. At that point we realized that "walk" was not a safety instruction, but was an instruction as to the permissible mode of transportation.
Eve: Being eliminated by a penalty, obviously. Heather and I felt like we had a lot of potential, and it was disappointing to go out in such a controversial way.

What was the best moment in the Race?
Heather: Believe it or not, the best moment for me was falling out of the donkey cart! Before that, I was unable to convince Eve to skydive. Also, it gave my friends and family something to laugh at and to play in slow motion (over and over again) come the holidays.
Eve: For me, because I really went on the race to conquer some of my fears, the best moment was being able to get on a plane over and over and have a sense of peace. Also, along the same lines, while I would NEVER do it again, jumping out of a plane was just as amazing (even if I did resist the whole way down ;).

When and how was your relationship with your teammate strengthened or changed?
Heather: Eve's and my relationship grew stronger after our part of the race was over. We were eliminated in a fairly controversial way. However, we were there for each other in the sequester site, and helping each other through that difficult time certainly strengthened our relationship.
Eve: Heather and I got a lot closer after the race because we were in shock when we got eliminated. We got each other through hard times in sequesterland when all we had was basically each other and the other Teams (who were great, by the way).

Is there any place you'd revisit, or wish you had been able to visit?
Heather: I still have an extremely long list of places I will go, including Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and Africa. The good news is that I'll be able to experience these places for the first time without the rushed feeling I had while on the race. I'll be able to relax and truly enjoy NOT having to run through airports or race past some of the most beautiful places on earth.
Eve: Heather and I had been planning on going to Southeast Asia before we auditioned for the show. Also, my cousin Jessica just climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and she said it was the greatest thing she has ever done. I want to do it too.

If you could do the Race over, what would you do differently?
Eve: Walked--plain and simple.

Of all the things you packed, what was the most useful?
Heather: It's a tie between my quick-drying shoes and my headlight.
Eve: My IPOD gave me sanity and a sense of continuity in the insane race world where you don't sleep, eat, do anything on a regular basis.

What did you wish you'd brought with you, but didn't?
Heather: I wish I'd brought pictures of my boyfriend, my friends and my family. Although I knew that they were thinking about me, seeing them would have helped me to remember what an incredible life I have in the "real world" and would have helped me to better keep the race in perspective.
Eve: A smaller backpack. We ended up purchasing a smaller backpack in the Heathrow airport on the way to Portugal, and this nice man is still holding my bag there. Which reminds me, I need to get it back.

Now that you've finished the Race, what are your plans?
Heather: I am Olin Fellow at my law school. I'm writing an article and a book about using prenuptial agreements to strengthen and improve the marital relationship. I am also planning an adventure travel trip through Southeast Asia and Australia.
Eve: To travel more, to get involved in public service. On that note, everyone who reads this should make sure that they vote in this crucial election!
