What was your worst moment in the Race?
Dennis: The worst moment on the Race was when we got to the zip line at the hotel in Punta del Este and had to just sit and wait until Jim & Marsha finished the task. Knowing we were so close to elimination, those 15 minutes were the longest in my entire life.
Erika: My worst moment was when we found out we had been given inaccurate information at the very start of the Race and would be on the slower flight. At the counter we asked which flight arrived in Uruguay first, and we were assured that the American flight arrived before the United. But we did learn a valuable lesson: always ask for a second opinion!

What was the best moment in the Race?
Dennis: The best moment on the Race was watching Erika jump off the building on the zip line. I was really proud of her, and she did it all without hesitation.
Erika: The best moment in the Race was the zip line in Punta del Este. How many times in your life do you have the opportunity to jump 18 stories off of a hotel into a pool? We knew we were in last place at that point and just wanted to enjoy the experience. We were very lucky to be given such a cool opportunity.

When and how was your relationship with your teammate strengthened or changed?
Dennis: When we first started the Race, I originally thought Erika and I would fight all the time. As it turns out, we really bonded together because you didn't know who to trust except for your teammate.
Erika: I was proud of Dennis when everyone was yelling at him at the ticket counter at LAX and he started yelling back. We had already seen the Café Nostra brothers pass us up on the shuttle outside the airport, so this was our chance to "get back" at them. But it didn't really work out for either of our Teams!

Is there any place you'd revisit, or wish you had been able to visit?
Dennis: I would love to visit Australia. I've always been fascinated with the wildlife and the abundance of outdoors activities.
Erika: I would return to Uruguay in a heartbeat. Punta del Este is absolutely gorgeous, and the location of the Pit Stop at Casa Pueblo was breathtaking. If we had to go out first, I'm glad we were able to be eliminated at such a gorgeous locale!

If you could do the Race over, what would you do differently?
Dennis: If I could do the Race over, I would try to bend the rules. Erika and I are both rule-followers, and I think you can bend the rules a little to get farther in the Race.
Erika: I would probably try to bend the rules a little more. We were trying to follow all of the directions exactly as they were written, but we probably would have done a little better if we interpreted the clues in a more liberal manner.

Of all the things you packed, what was the most useful?
Dennis: The most useful thing I packed was my Mountain Hardware cut-off pants. They were very durable and protected me from my fall on the pier.
Erika: We hardly packed anything, so that is a tough question! I had the lightest pack at only eight pounds, and it contained very few items. But I did read all of the previous racers' answer to this question and made sure my pack contained everything they considered useful.

What did you wish you'd brought with you, but didn't?
Dennis: We put a lot of time and effort into packing, and I feel that we brought everything we needed.
Erika: We did a lot of research on what to pack, so I really feel we would have been prepared for any condition. I really don't think there was anything missing from my pack. The only thing I wish I had brought is a ticket on the United flight that would have gotten us in earlier!

Now that you've finished the Race, what are your plans?
Dennis: I had a great experience on the Race and will continue to follow my career in equities trading. I hope one day to start and open my own hedge fund.
Erika: I'll continue with my wedding planning company and try to travel as much as possible!
