What was your worst moment in the Race?
Marshall: The worst moment was when my knees hurt so much that I realized I wouldn't be able to continue.
Lance: Eating 2.2 pounds of caviar.
What was the best moment in the Race?
Marshall: Jumping off the mountain in Patagonia and having the opportunity to see the view from the paraglider was the best moment of the Race.
Lance: Paragliding in Patagonia.
When and how was your relationship with your teammate strengthened or changed?
Marshall: Lance and I have always had a great relationship, and this has only strengthened it.
Lance: Our relationship has always been strong, but having to support Marshall when he was in pain really brought us closer together.
Is there any place you'd revisit, or wish you had been able to visit?
Marshall: I would love to go back to Russia. Russia was beautiful, and I wish I had more time to explore.
Lance: I would love to return to Patagonia and Egypt.
If you could do the Race over, what would you do differently?
Marshall: I would not have worn new footwear. I would have
worn my old, broken-in sneakers
Of all the things you packed, what was the most useful?
Marshall: Flashlight: needed it to read clues in the back of the car at night.
Lance: A large number of clean t-shirts and underwear.
What did you wish you'd brought with you, but didn't?
Marshall: Nothing.
Lance: Nothing.
Now that you've finished the Race, what are your plans?
Marshall: Return to work.
Lance: Back to real reality, which is my restaurant, Café Nostra in Dallas.
