Located in south central Montana, Absarokee offers access to world famous geysers, the Beartooth/Absaroka Wilderness Area and the Yellowstone River Valleys. Just 50 miles from Billings, and 75 miles from Yellowstone Park, visitors can experience horseback riding, river rafting, let 'er rip rodeos, guided fishing trips, and eye-popping scenery.

Absarokee hosts entertaining events year round. The Red Lodge/Absarokee Annual Festival of Nations celebrates the population's diversity each year. Notable historical character Calamity Jane made Absarokee her home during her drinking, brawling and wandering years, and the infamous Wild Bunch rode through making a brief stop to rob a bank in the nearby township of Red Lodge.
