Yes, definitely been there done that and long to go back and do it again and again. Absarokee is one of the many gateways to some great camping, hiking and fishing spots in Stillwater County and its neighbor Red Lodge. East Rosebud, West Rosebud and the Stillwater Valley take you to some of the great trailheads into the backcountry of the Beartooth Mountains. Hiking up to Mystic Lake is one of my favorites along with heading up to Woodbine and following the Stillwater River Trail No. 24 up to Sioux Charley Lake and beyond. Very cool and a definite 5 stars out of five. Also check out the dining and brewery spots of Roscoe, Fishtail, Dean and Absarokee, they have some good ones.
