I would only go in May, September, or October, as the park gets very busy with tourists through the summer…

I only live a couple hours from Yellowstone, so it's easy enough to go up for a day trip. However, I would only go in May, September, or October, as the park gets very busy with tourists through the summer. Also, the animals are most active in the spring and fall. If you've never been there, you need more than one day to see the park.
