Josh thinks that Marcellas is a "phony" and "used to dominating conversation." A couple days earlier, during the first night's competition, Josh garnered support for his plan to oust Marcellas, but now finds himself a potential target as well. During a group strategy discussion, HoH Lisa says of Josh, "He's getting on everyone's nerves, and he knows it." Later, in the hot tub, oblivious to Lisa's new feelings toward him, Josh talks with Lisa, Roddy, Eric, Gerry and Chiara. He reveals his plan to make Amy believe she's part of their group, stringing her along and getting her to do their dirty work.

One person who isn't getting on anyone's nerves is Jason, whom Chiara describes as "adorable," and whom Lori thinks is a sweetheart for volunteering to help clean the bathroom. Jason has kept secret one aspect of himself he thinks will single him out and make him an outsider: he's a virgin. As Tonya cuts his hair in the bathroom, he admits this to everybody, making the girls swoon over him. Jason tells them of his "faith in God" and why he's chosen to wait until marriage to have sex. Chiara calls him the "last living virgin in America" and says she wants to "show him off like show and tell." Despite the presence of many beautiful women in the House, Jason reaffirms his intention to remain a virgin when he leaves.

FIRST NOMINATIONS
After Josh and Lisa agree that Marcellas will be one nominee, conversation turns to nominating Lori because she won't hold it against anybody later on in the game. Thinking he has a handle on things, Josh says, "My master plan has paid off!" Outside he tells Lori that she will be nominated, but swears on his religion, girlfriend and cat that she's safe from eviction. Later he tells Gerry in the Storage Room about his conversation with Lori and says that Lisa will do what he says or "we'll turn against her." What they don't know, however, is that Lisa is eavesdropping on this conversation and isn't happy. She calls Josh a "snake" and says she has "snake poison" for him.

As HoH, Lisa has the responsibility of bringing out the nomination box, which she has fitted with the keys of those HouseGuests whom she does not intend for nomination. The very appearance of the box makes Lori's "stomach churn." As the HouseGuests prepare to remove their keys, revealing the names of those safe from eviction that week, Lisa feels the pressure of being HoH. Her first two nominees are Marcellas and Lori. Lisa tells Marcellas that although she has bonded with him personally, she doesn't feel he made a "strong effort to get comfortable with the group." Lisa nominated Lori for the opposite reason, adding that Lori "made an effort with everyone in the House but me." The two nominees react differently to the news. Marcellas is defiant, saying, "I'm very much still in the game. Watch and see." Lori cries, saying being nominated is an "emotional thing" and "hard to prepare for." Lisa retreats to the safety of her private bedroom, holds her teddy bear and contemplates her next move.
