Besides this apprehension, Marcellas doesn't like watching the grooming displays that some of the others put on, especially Chiara's maintenance of Roddy. Marcellas offers all the guys facials: Josh and Gerry abstain, leaving Eric, Roddy and Jason wearing green mud masks. At the sight of the three men covered in mud, Josh remarks, "their dignity level has gone below zero." After removing his mud mask, Eric unknowingly fulfills a childhood dream of Lisa's: he breaks a kiss, looks at her and simply says, "Hi." Lisa hugs him, and tells him that had always been her "little thing," that she had always wanted someone to say hi to her while kissing. As a result, Lisa says she feels swept away, like a princess.
FOOD COMPETITION
Split into two teams of four (Lisa, Jason, Eric and Marcellas on the blue team, Danielle, Josh, Roddy and Chiara on the red), the HouseGuests play a gastronomical version of "Name That Tune." Players from each team face off, head-to-head, over a particular food item, naming how many of those items they could eat in two minutes. They go back and forth, upping the ante, until one of them challenges the other to go ahead and eat. If the HouseGuest is successful, their team gets a point. If they fail, the other team gets a point, with the first team to three points winning the contest. The losers eat PB and J for the next week. Chiara goes against Lisa first over a plate of raw brussel sprouts, with the bidding going up to 12 brussels sprouts in two minutes. Lisa challenges Chiara, who can only get through seven, giving one point to the blue team. Next, Jason and Josh go head-to-head over Twinkies, with Jason easily eating eight, giving blue another point. Danielle gets a point for the red team by eating 15 jalapeno-stuffed olives after taking Eric's challenge. Marcellas wins it for the blue team over Roddy by heroically eating five deep-fried chicken livers, despite constant gagging.
TROUBLE IN PARADISE?
Lisa, who's been sharing a bed with Eric, has been closest to him during his nightly sleep-talking episodes. But with his sleep-talk intensifying, even Lisa gets freaked out when Eric starts making what she calls "scary noises." She gets up and moves to another bed, while Josh jokingly labels Eric a "psycho." Meanwhile, Roddy realizes that, despite sharing a bed with Chiara, he doesn't know her last name. Josh asks Chiara what her last name is, but makes the mistake of asking while Roddy is sitting right next to him. Chiara realizes that Roddy is the one who doesn't know her last name and gets upset. Josh smoothes things over and turns things around, so that Chiara apologizes to Roddy. Chiara compounds things later by combining Roddy and Hotty, her nickname for him, and calling him Hardy, one of the HouseGuests from BIG BROTHER 2.
THE NOMINATIONS
Alone in the HoH room, Gerry prepares the box while everyone nervously awaits his nominations. He says he feels like the "executioner," and the most difficult moment of the process was putting the two keys of his nominees in the bag. He assembles the group and makes it clear to them just how much he hates having to do this. He pulls Josh's key first, followed by Danielle, Chiara, Marcellas, Roddy and Jason, leaving Eric and Lisa out in the cold. He tells the group that he made his decision strategically, the same way he does things when he plays chess, and by nominating Eric or Lisa he was eliminating either a knight or a queen from the board. Eric understands Gerry's actions, but Lisa says later she thought his "reasoning was cowardly." With the close bond between Eric and Lisa, will someone use the Veto Power to save one of them? Who will Gerry put up in their place? Find out on Wednesday night's episode of BIG BROTHER 3!
