Julie Chen asks the two nominees how they feel about being nominated against each other. "It wasn't the happiest moment of my time here," Marcellas says. Amy says she's not bitter towards Marcellas, but implies she is bitter towards other people in the House. Amy puts their argument to rest, saying it was five minutes out of their month in the House. Amy says she's learned a lesson that she'll take out of the House with her, with nails "still perfectly manicured." Marcellas thanks all the other HouseGuests, telling them that they share something special and that he looks forward to meeting each of them outside. In the Diary Room Danielle says that Amy has been into herself since she arrived and that Marcellas has kept her entertained, while Gerry keeps his cards close to the vest, saying his vote will be based on who he thinks will help his strategy.

GERRY: IN OR OUT?
Since he used the first Veto Power to save Marcellas from nomination, Gerry has been an outsider in the House. Eric wonders why he should trust somebody who went against the group before anyone had a chance to get to know him. Lisa shares that opinion, feeling that Gerry backstabbed the entire group with his actions. Gerry, however, sees his outsider status as a blessing because it allows him to remain a wild card, able to go where he needs to in order to stay alive in the game. To that end, he mends fences with Josh; both believe they are marked men, to begin gathering a little strength. Gerry also has a deal in place with Roddy, ensuring he won't nominate him for eviction if he gets HoH. Marcellas sees the writing on the wall and worries that Gerry is being ignored and getting by while the rest of the group targets other people.

As the outgoing power broker in the game, Julie Chen asks Roddy if his heart-to-heart conversation with Amy changed his mind about nominating her. Roddy says it did, that Amy has come to a lot of realizations about herself and that he wishes he could take her nomination back. He also diplomatically answers that he hopes to continue seeing Chiara outside the House, but wouldn't commit to a romantic relationship with her later. Just before their vote, Jason, Josh and Lisa discuss Marcellas and Amy. Josh thinks keeping Amy would benefit him because she's a good troublemaker, but that Marcellas is "cranky as hell." Jason admires that Marcellas looks out for the people he cares about, and says that Amy's personality fluctuates between extreme highs and lows. Lisa thinks Amy is too "prissy," but that evicting Marcellas might be better from a purely strategic point of view.

EVICTION
Amy takes the news of her 7-0 eviction with a smile on her face and hugs for her fellow HouseGuests. Amy tells Julie her eviction wasn't a surprise and that she believes everything happens for a reason. Her reason for being on BIG BROTHER 3 apparently was to learn some important life lessons that she's able to take with her. Amy says she made up with Chiara before leaving and becomes teary as she watches the taped farewell messages from the other HouseGuests.

HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD
With Roddy abdicating the throne, the other HouseGuests play a game called "Face-Off" to determine the next Head of Household. Each player has five paddles adorned with the faces of the three evictees (Lori, Tonya and Amy), Roddy and an X. They are asked a series of questions, the answer to which is one of the four HouseGuests on the paddle or an X, for "none of the above." Question number 2 ("Who lists REO Speedwagon as one of their favorite bands?") knocks out Jason, Chiara, Danielle and Lisa (The answer is Lori). Josh and Marcellas are eliminated for not realizing that Roddy listed humans as his least favorite animal. With only Gerry and Eric still alive, the competition goes to a tiebreaker question: What is the height, in inches, of the three evicted HouseGuests. Eric guesses 268, but Gerry comes in right under the correct answer of 194 by guessing 188, giving him the HoH title for the week. Gerry has gone from total outsider to the ultimate insider. Where do his loyalties lie? What is his strategy? Check out BIG BROTHER 3 Saturday night to see who Gerry puts on the chopping block!
