THE HOUSEGUESTS GET "KNOTTY"
The Power of Veto is up for grabs, and the HouseGuests head outside for a Competition called "Feeling Knotty." Each HouseGuest wears around his/her waist a belt with a rope attached to it; the other end of the rope is tied to a pole. Equidistant from each HouseGuest is a post with the Golden Veto Medallion on display. The ropes that tether the HouseGuests are shortened with a series of knots, preventing them from reaching the post for the Golden Veto. The object: to use their hands and bodies to untie and work themselves through the knots, until the rope is long enough to reach the post. First person to place their Veto on the post wins.
In a split-second finish, Dana wins the first Power of Veto. Amanda is amazed at how quickly Dana finished, and Jee is disappointed, but Dana is not surprised at her victory, saying she is "competitive" and that she "wanted to win."
PICK-A-LITTLE, TALK-A-LITTLE
Is a romance heating up between Nathan and Alison? It depends on whom you ask! Although the two have flirted and cuddled (in the privacy of Nathan's HoH Room), Alison insists that she is using coquetry as strategy: "Nathan is just somebody I'm flirting with to win $500,000." But Nathan has taken her actions at face value, and believes that Alison is waiting for him to "make the first move."
Meanwhile, Alison, Jun and Dana are passing the time with what they call "girl talk." Gossip topics include in-depth critiques of Michelle's body, Erika's body and Amanda's body. But it's another subject that has all the HouseGuests talking. Scott's behavior in the House seems to be on everyone's minds, and Jun, Robert and Dana plot for Dana to use her POV to save Jee and put Scott up instead. In Jun's words, "Jee off, Scott on, Scott gone."
After Dana, Jun and Alison pay a visit to the HoH Room to talk to Nathan about their idea, Nathan heads over to Erika and Jack, whom he suspects are in an alliance with Scott. Nathan explains that despite the fact that everyone has "tried to get along with him," Scott's behavior is getting on the HouseGuests' nerves. Jack agrees, reminding Nathan of his leadership role as Head of Household.
SCOTT LEAVES THE HOUSE
As pressure from the game and the "X Factor" builds, Scott is feeling the effects of living in the House with the ever-present cameras, which make him feel like a "circus animal." While his housemates are aware that Scott is having a hard time, they are caught off guard when he starts throwing chairs from the Dining Room. When producers of the show interrupt to call him into the Diary Room, he replies with "come in here and get me." Amanda says that she isn't sure if he was joking around or if he was serious, and Scott says he is "just blowing off a little steam. Amanda tries to console Scott, but he tells her that he's "a loose cannon right now."
Scott holds a meeting with all the HouseGuests to explain his behavior, telling them that he is struggling with the fact that Amanda has "been able to go on with her life" and he hasn't. He goes on to apologize for his behavior. Acting as House Spokesman, Nathan tells Scott that people in the House feel "threatened" by his behavior, and tension arises between Jun and Scott. Soon after the meeting, Scott enters the Diary Room, and doesn't return to the House. Amanda reacts to his departure with the hope that he will "realize that life does go on."
Will Dana use her Power of Veto? If so, whom will she save? Find out on Wednesday, when one HouseGuest is evicted LIVE at 9:00 PM ET/PT.
