BIG BROTHER: THEN AND NOW
Eric, Gerry, Amy and Chiara return to BIG BROTHER to give updates on their lives since their stay in the House last year. Fire-fighting stud Eric is still saving lives in Connecticut, where he continues to get teased for his bizarre sleep-talking captured on last year's show. He says that his relationship with Lisa "wasn't meant to be," but he keeps in touch with each of the HouseGuests. Meanwhile, Gerry is still living with two of last year's HouseGuests: the lizards! Gerry bears no ill will to any of his housemates from last summer (especially those lizards), and is happy doing what he loves most: teaching. As for Southern Belle Amy, she says she is "still recognized," and defends her bibulous behavior in the House, declaring that she is "not some raging alcoholic." Unlike Eric and Lisa's romance, her love affair with cheese continues, and she even managed to make up with House rival Chiara. And how is Chiara? She's "livin' it up" in New York, and says she has "no regrets" from the BIG BROTHER "chapter" in her life.
Back in the BIG BROTHER 4 House, Julie talks to nominees Jack and Dave, and gives them the opportunity to address their housemates of 26 days before the eviction is announced. Jack says that he has enjoyed "back-stroking through the fountain of youth" with his young housemates. When Dave gets his turn, he declares, "this has been a great joke for me," and that it has been entertaining living with "sniveling, whining bitches." The "bitches" took his comment as endearing, and laughed.
DAVE EVICTED, JACK UNPACKS
It's time for the eviction, and Jack looks nervous, while Dave looks calm. Julie finally opens the dreaded envelope and announces that Dave is evicted by a vote of 5-2. Dave maintains is cheerful demeanor and offers a round of hugs to all the HouseGuests. After his exit, Jack consoles a crying Erika, adding, "I'm glad I'm here, but I hate to lose David."
Still in great spirits, Dave enters the studio, where Julie awaits him. David says he takes it as a "compliment" that his housemates considered him enough of a threat to evict him. He adds that he enjoyed the opportunity BIG BROTHER 4 afforded him to "goof off" in front of America, admitting that his outrageous behavior was a strategy to "hide the smarts," though it was "a great boredom-buster." He views the "goodbye" messages from his housemates, in which Jack says David is "like a son" to him, and Erika says that he is "a force in this world." With that, David makes his exit from the game.
POWER SHIFTS, ALI NEW HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD!
The two clashing alliances go head-to-head in a Competition that will determine who will hold the power in the House for the next week. With no time to mourn the loss of a fallen comrade, the HouseGuests take their places in the backyard for the Head of Household Competition, called "Around the Water Cooler." The competitors stand in a line on a ledge, each holding a water cooler jug with an equal number of ping pong balls inside. Five feet below each person on the ledge is a cylinder, which is just big enough for the ping pong balls to fit inside. From their perches on the ledge, the HouseGuests must turn their ball-filled water jugs upside down and try to aim for their corresponding cylinders below. The person with the most balls in his or her cylinder at the end of one minute is the new Head of Household. Alison takes an early lead, with Jack right behind her. In the end, Alison wins with seven ping pong balls, just one more than Jack. In a dramatic moment, House rivals come face to face as Dana hands Alison the Head of Household key and the power for the week.
Who will Alison nominate for eviction? Find out live on Friday at 8PM ET/PT, only on BIG BROTHER 4.
