DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND
Rachel's departure has left Howie a little down, but not out, as he picks himself up and gets back into the race. Ivette sums up Rachel's leaving as "Sad…but it's not one of my people, so I'm okay." With April in the HoH Room, the Friendship is soaking up the pleasures of power. James laments, "This has been the summer from hell," because he can't win a single HoH Competition, adding, "If April can beat me,…maybe I deserve to go home." April's prayers are answered with her HoH win: "I felt like I had been crowned Miss America."

James and Ivette discuss strategy over the chessboard in the backyard. Maggie sees the friendship as potentially problematic, and Beau agrees that Ivette and James' association puts a question mark over her head. While James is distracted, Maggie and April make a dash for the Gold Room, where they spill on their plans to Janelle and Howie. April reveals she is going to nominate Janelle and Howie, but her real intention is to back-door James. No one is to choose James in the Power of Veto Competition, or the plan will not work. Skeptical, but not in a position to argue, the Sovereigns acquiesce. "We've got nothing to lose" Howie sighs.

April's HoH Room contains presents from her man to let her know she is loved. The way to April's heart is through gifts, it appears, as she breaks down over a bracelet, crying, "My husband loves me." Pictures and trinkets aside, James is unimpressed by the screaming and squealing as "everyone's kissing each other's ass."

Cracks begin to appear in the consensus amongst the Friendship troops. Ivette, wanting James to remain in the house, argues for Janelle to be their target. April and Maggie are adamant that James be the target as this is the last week they will have the numbers to back-door him out of the house. April reminds Ivette that James has been playing both sides and insists everyone swear to secrecy about their plan. Ivette balks at having to "lie," but Maggie rephrases, calling it "holding a secret" and not lying.
