COMRADES IN ARMS
Janelle wakes everyone up the night before the Veto Competition to pick their players. Janey doesn’t want any of the floaters to play, and after pulling HouseGuest’s Choice, she picks Howie as her partner. “Big boy like Veto! Big boy like Veto!” he grins. Erika randomly draws Diane from the bag, and Mike pulls HouseGuest’s choice, picking Will. The competition will happen sometime during the morning. The players will only be given one minute’s notice to get into the backyard. If the players do not get outside within that minute, they will forfeit the competition. Janey then introduces America’s “Wake-Up Calls,” which will be played throughout the night. America has already voted on how often the wake-up calls will be played. The HouseGuests will find out what America voted later. Danielle cheers, “I think this is a sleep deprivation competition!”

Before returning to bed, Janelle lets Howie in on her Veto plan. “We don’t want Erika to win. We don’t want Diane to win it (either), okay?” Howie agrees to her request but later admits, “I thought our enemies were Boogie and Will. I tell ya, the strategy of confusion this year is working on me!”

SLEEP TORTURE
It turns out that America voted for the wake-up calls to happen every 15 minutes. “This is making me crazy,” Marcellas whines. “This sucks,” Kaysar sighs. Erika is concerned that the lack of sleep will affect her performance in the PoV. At 5 am, another wake-up call alarm sounds, this time announcing the PoV Competition. The HouseGuests hustle into the backyard. Once there, the players spy six electric chairs. Taking off their shoes, each takes a seat, and they are introduced to the “Torture Test.” Words or phrases pertaining to the BIG BROTHER game will be spelled out backwards on the plasma screens in front of them. The first player to get three correctly identified words will win the PoV. If they answer incorrectly, they will be eliminated. For every correct answer, the HouseGuest can choose a torture device from the torture table and give it to a competitor to hinder their concentration. Once given a torture device, a player must endure it for the rest of the game.
