CREATIVE DIFFERENCES
As the Creative Types prepared for their dates, Scott said he resented not being thought of as macho, while Omar said he was looking forward to proving he was a real man. But neither they nor Paul, Paco or Joe imagined how literally they'd have to prove themselves to be big shots. For their date, Lisa took the Creative Types to a shooting range to see how well they could handle themselves, both with a gun and with her. Paul thought Joe was hogging the conversation, then sneered when someone made fun of his platform shoes.
But Paul turned out to be a good shot, as did most of the other guys, including Omar, who fired away while doing his best Scarface impression: "Say hello to my little friend!" But the best shot of all turned out to be Lisa. And when it came time to shoot down one of the creative types, she chose Omar, claiming that he seemed a little too caught up with the cowboy style for her taste. For the moment, all the other guys were invited back in the limo, though Lisa told Paco he had some work to do if he wanted to convince her he was truly looking for a soulmate. DANCE FEVER
The Jocks were filled with anticipation as their limo carried them to their date with Lisa. Scott was worried he might clam up if he wasn't "feeling it," a concern not shared by Corey, who claimed it was the other guys who should be worrying about impressing Lisa, not him. But when their limo pulled up at a dance studio, even Corey looked rather caught off guard.
Hank took the first lesson, fitting together so well with Lisa that he even tried dipping her at the end. Ken surprised Lisa by seeming looser--and funnier--on the dance floor than he'd been off it. Corey impressed everyone with his dance moves, but Lisa thought he might be trying a little too hard to impress the other guys and not hard enough with her. Dominic and Scott were more awkward, especially Scott, who worried he might step on Lisa with his size 14 feet. In the end, Lisa invited Hank, Dominic, Ken and, after some hesitation, Scott back in the limo with her. Like Zach, Scott had been a little too shy and quiet. But Corey was the odd man out in this group of jocks. Corey was "dumbfounded" not to have been chosen, but realized he didn't present the "total package" to Lisa. ( One Jock dances out of the game )
POOL PARTY POOPER
The next item on the agenda was a pool party back at the Los Angeles pad, at the end of which one more guy would be eliminated from the dwindling number of contenders. Robert came on so strong at the beginning of the party that Evan thought Lisa "was gonna need a restraining order against him." Meanwhile, Evan found himself in a little trouble of his own after asking both Laura and Kimberly to sit on his lap. Laura looked like she was flirting with him, but claimed just to be testing him.
In a private moment, Kimberly told Lisa that Evan is "an arrogant party boy." Of course, she didn't like Mark much, either. Laura thought Nate was too young for Lisa, and was also disappointed with Paco. Lisa expressed reservations about Paul, who reminded her too much of guys she'd dated before. At the end of the party, Brian gathered all the guys for the moment of truth. Lisa issued stern warnings to both Evan, for flirting with her friends, and Robert, for being a little too aggressive with her. But in the end, she asked Paco to leave.
FINAL FIFTEEN
Brian told the Final Fifteen that they'd each get one last opportunity to pitch themselves to Lisa, before she would have to kick five more of them out of the house. While most of the guys did their best to sell themselves and their best qualities, Evan and Robert each used their time to blast the other one. After the private sessions were over, Lisa took some private time of her own to think carefully about who she was going to kick out of the house, and which 10 men she'd be inviting back for further consideration.
When she confronted the Fifteen, Lisa admitted this had been the hardest decision she'd made so far. Scott and Ben were the first two Lisa asked to leave, both of whom claimed to be "shocked" by her decision. The next to go was Nate, followed by Mark, who admitted that he couldn't imagine getting married yet. Maybe Lisa, Mark guessed, "saw right through me." Finally, the last person Lisa asked to go was Darren.
THE TOP TEN…AND COUNTING
Addressing the last ten men standing, Lisa congratulated them all on officially making it into her "Top Ten." She said she was really excited to date them all for real now so that she could get to know them all even better. Judging from the expressions and sighs of relief in the room, the feeling seemed to be mutual. Laura and Kimberly, however, continued to have doubts about some of the men Lisa had elected to keep in the house. Laura promised to weigh in with her opinions about all the men next week. But for Robert, Hank, Paul, Ken, Joe, Dominic, Renda, Scott, Rob and Evan, the most important judge is America, who gets to decide each week which men stay and which men go. Will Lisa marry the last man standing? Be sure to tune in next Wednesday at 10PM ET/PT to see Lisa's first date with the Top Ten!
