RENDA'S DATE: DIFFERENT IN ALL THE RIGHT WAYS
Sporting a heavy cover of 5 o'clock shadow on his face, Renda drowzily danced with a pink dress as he tried to decide what to buy Lisa for their date. All the street hustler and poet from Queens could figure out was that this date was the hardest yet, and the one that must've been designed to get Suitors "in touch with [their] feminine side." Finally finding a dress he liked he liked, Renda lifted the whole mannequin off the floor and dragged it to the cashier to make sure there was no mistaking which dress he wanted.

Even though Renda cleaned up--and shaved--for their date, he pleaded with Lisa to carry most of the conversation. As they settled back onto the patio of a health food restaurant, she told him, "I always know when it's a date with you, it's gonna be something totally different and cool." Renda acknowledged he was a little "left of center," but Lisa assured him he was "different in all the right ways." After their meal, Renda suggested Lisa buy a bunch of gifts, but was caught off guard when the tab far exceeded the amount of money he had left. Despite this glitch, Lisa let him know she'd had a great time on their very unpredictable date.

Laura liked the date with Renda, even if he was getting a little too earthy for her: "Honestly, I thought you were going to take her for a colonic after lunch." For their next date, she offered this suggestion: "Skip the granola." Kimberly seemed to feel similarly, telling Renda, "You're more of a natural guy, maybe a bit too much so for Lisa. But I've got a couple of friends I want to hook you up with."

But Renda claimed to be feeling a real connection with Lisa, saying, "A minute with Lisa is not even like a minute in reality." For her part, Lisa told Renda, "I'm so glad that America decided to keep you around." She then turned to Kimberly to add, with just a touch of sarcasm, "I'm really glad my 'friend' is trying to hook you up with other friends."

ROBERT'S DATE: A GOOD CRY
Wincing from the stage as his date was played for the audience, Robert, the fitness model from Los Angeles, looked giddy--and sounded it--as he set out to find an outfit for Lisa. He claimed to feel like a fashion designer, though a fashion designer might've raised a few eyebrows placing his hands inside a lace bra and telling the saleswoman, "That's pretty much the way her chest area looks like." He then proceeded to spray perfume in a pair of panties before checking to see how they smelled. He settled on a slinky yellow number which had Lisa laughing when she showed up for their date.

When Robert complimented her outfit, saying it was "kind of unique," she quickly corrected him, "VERY unique." Lisa looked a little embarrassed as Robert leaned down to closely examine the tiny mirrors on the shoes he'd bought her: "You can never have too many mirrors on your shoes." When they finally sat down to lunch, Robert's lack of sleep seemed to get the best of him as he slowly fell apart in front of a startled Lisa. Robert was practically sobbing when he confessed tearfully, "I did everything wrong." Lisa was quick to reassure him otherwise, "You didn't do everything wrong. You're still here." Robert then asked Lisa to tell him more about herself since he'd done all the talking on their previous dates. Lisa tried to open up, but Robert's tears had made this one of the rawest dates yet on CUPID.

Laura was actually nicer to Robert than she'd been in the past, telling him, "I think you were actually funny on this date." But this being Laura, she couldn't resist getting in a dig: "What was up with the tears? Either you need to be on serious medication, or you're just desperate." Kimberly was also a little suspicious about Robert's display of emotion--and his choice of footwear: "Mirrored shoes with a little short dress? C'mon, Robert, what were you thinking there?"

Robert started off by defending himself against Laura's attack, addressing her directly, "Laura, you should be a little less aggressive toward a guy you don't know about." He then explained he'd gotten so emotional because Lisa reminded him of how much he missed his family. Lisa wasn't quite as moved as the studio audience, telling Robert, "I'm really trying with you. You just have to meet me halfway. First, you didn't talk, then you sang me a song, then you cried."

HANK'S DATE: EVERYTHING FITS SO WELL
Like all the other guys, Hank, the options trader from Chicago, was feeling a little woozy as he headed into the clothing store to find an outfit for Lisa: "How do you have a size 0?!" Rubbing his eyes to stay awake, Hank picked out a black ensemble that he had little confidence would fit Lisa properly.

But when she showed up for their date, Hank's fears were allayed. Over dinner, he risked grossing her out when he admitted his favorite dish was tongue. But Lisa was thrilled with the admission, telling him that was her mother's favorite dish as well. The date then turned somber when Hank told Lisa how his aunt raised him after his mother died. Lisa, clearly affected, leaned over and kissed him as the audience oohed and aahed in obvious pleasure over this long-delayed kiss. Hank was easily as pleased as the audience, saying "It is possible I could spend the rest of my life with [Lisa]."

Laura was happy they finally kissed, but clearly expected something a little hotter: "All that talk about tongue and THAT was the kiss?!" Kimberly had no such problems, telling Hank, "You're so shy; it's so refreshing. You look really hot in a suit." For his part, Hank also thought that the sparks were flying between him and Lisa: "That couldn't have been a more passionate date for me. I thought it was hot!" Lisa also addressed her comments to Laura, assuring her that the cameras didn't see everything about their kiss: "Don't worry about the passion there. No problem!"

JOE'S DATE: BRIDGING THE DISTANCE BETWEEN HIM AND LISA
Having been awake, in his own estimation, for "32, 33 hours," Joe, the real estate developer from Elmwood Park, Illinois, was exhausted as he began his shopping spree. But Joe showed he knew how to ask for help, raising his hands in the store like a student asking a question in class: "No skirts. I can't find any skirts. Teacher?!" By the time he'd picked out the entire outfit, including shoes, Joe looked like he was on his last legs, declaring, "That's it. I'm done."

But watching Lisa walk up for their gondola ride on the Venice canals seemed to perk Joe right up, especially when she complimented him on the nice job he'd done picking out her clothes. Joe's smile grew even wider when the gondolier told them it was traditional for a couple to kiss each time they sailed under a bridge. After passing under their first bridge, and receiving his first kiss from Lisa, Joe looked up at the gondolier and asked, "We're going under a bunch of bridges, right?" When the boat ride was over, the two relaxed and talked about their families--and the possibility of building one together. The date ended with a big kiss, as Joe beamed happily, "It only gets better after each and every date."

Laura began her post-date analysis telling Joe he had a thing or two to learn about shopping, but conceded, "You had me when you popped open the Cristal!" Kimberly was also a big fan of Joe's, but expressed some concern about his temper: "I think you might have a little bit of a short fuse. We'll have to watch that."

Joe thanked Laura and Kimberly for their support, then turned to the camera and made a direct appeal to America: "I want to take this girl on my honeymoon to Venice on a real gondola ride. Help me out!" Lisa had only kind words to say about her Italian Suitor: "The conversation flowed as easily as the Cristal."

TO LIVE AND LOVE ANOTHER DAY
The dates over, Brian explained how the voting works, in order for America to decide which of the remaining eight guys should stay on CUPID--and in Lisa's life--and which one, like Rob and now Scott, should go. Brian then asked Laura and Kimberly to share their advice with America, so that they might make more informed choices. For Laura the choice was easy, as she turned to the audience for confirmation: "Robert, right?" While the audience booed her nastiness, Laura added, "He's annoying, and he's phony! You'll never make it for governor, Robert!" Kimberly looked almost sad giving her opinion: "Dominic. He's a great guy, but he's just not ready for marriage." Brian drew big laughs when he then asked the audience, "How many want to see Laura and Kimberly leave?" Despite Laura's and Kimberly's opinions, the fate of the guys and Lisa is ultimately in the hands of the viewing audience. So tune in next Tuesday at 9PM ET/PT to find out whom Lisa--and America--will say goodbye to, and which seven surviving Suitors will live on to love another day.
