Back on deck, Captain Louie and his Officers hand out the summons to each member of the crew. When Azmyth sees a Black Spot on his letter, he's not too worried. "The Pirates, I'm 99.9 percent sure, don't want to see me go anywhere very soon," he says confidently. Cheryl isn't pleased to see her second Black Spot in a row because she doesn't feel her actions on the crew warrant this punishment. As the Officers hand a letter to Joe Don, Louie jokes, "There's three of them on yours." When Joe Don sees the Black Spot on his letter, he's not surprised. He knows it's due to Louie's rivalry with him and says, "The guy's unreasonable right now 'cause I've got all the gold and he's got gold coins in his eyes." As everyone starts to discuss the Black Spots, Sean thinks about the effect of the Royal Pardon on tonight's proceedings. "You know, it's gonna come down to who paid the most to buy that Pardon," he says. "It's safety…it's a get-out-of-jail-free card."
Later, Jupiter confides in Jay, expressing her disappointment in Louie for making decisions out of anger. She disapproves of Louie choosing to take out someone like Cheryl, just because of her association with Joe Don. Jay then takes a moment to talk with his former confidant, Joe Don, to see how he's feeling with Pirates' Court only a few hours away. As Joe Don admits that he's nervous, Jay shows him some compassion, even though his intentions aren't noble. Jay informs Joe Don that without that Pardon, he's probably the next Pirate to go.
Pirates' Court - Everyone Has Their Say
Everyone gathers on deck for another Pirates' Court where Cameron informs the Pirates that the Royal Pardon could save someone tonight. Captain Louie explains that he marked Azmyth because he believes a Captain should be tested once he's taken out of power. He marked Cheryl because of her association with Joe Don. Finally, he marked Joe Don because he has had a grudge with him since the beginning and one of the perks of being Captain is putting Joe Don on the Black Spot. When Cameron brings up the fact that it's part of the PIRATE MASTER code for the Captain to take half the treasure, Louie still faults Joe Don, saying, "No Captain is worth half the take."
