Kendra Spies a Betrayal
Later, Kendra eavesdrops again and overhears Jay and Ben talking about their fear of going against Christa in the end because she's stronger and smarter than both of them. Kendra realizes she can use this information to her advantage.
Below deck, Louie approaches Jay with an interesting proposition. "For the next Pirates' Court, let's make it an easy one," he tells Jay. "Put me and Kendra up there and let's get her gone." Jay reassures Louie that if he receives a Black Spot, he will only be up there as a pawn because no one would go against him.
Louie places his trust in Jay and after they raise their cups for a toast to Kendra going home, Jay comments, "When there's only five people left in the game, to offer yourself up for the Black Spot is utterly the most stupid move you can possibly make."
Black Spots and Rum Shots
Jay meets with Christa in her cabin where she asks him who should get a Black Spot. Jay mentions Kendra and says, "Every time she opens her mouth, I just wanna put my finger down my throat and just throw up all over the place." He then informs Christa that Louie has volunteered to go up with Kendra before saying, "I think maybe we should put Louie up and think about getting rid of him…Go big or go home."
Christa pours two shots of rum and she and Jay raise the shots for a toast before gulping them down. Christa continues to take shots with each of her crewmembers as they enter her cabin one by one and share their opinions on the Black Spots. Ben, Laurel, and Louie all nominate Kendra, while Louie also nominates himself.
Kendra meets with Christa and tells her that she's been overhearing things that Jay has been saying on the ship. "He's worried because you swim really fast and you're very smart and you're very quick and he stated it out loud," Kendra informs her. As Christa ponders this, Kendra smiles with the realization that she may have just saved herself.
