Cameron calls everyone to the quarterdeck where Jay opens the next compartment of the Chest of Zanzibar, pulling out a pair of maps. Cameron reveals that the next treasure was hidden by a Chinese astronomer who would map by charting the stars and planets in the night sky. For the Expedition, Christa will be on the Black Crew and Laurel will be on the Red Crew. Once everyone else draws shot, the Red Crew consists of Laurel and Louie while the Black Crew includes Christa, Ben and Jay. However, Ben isn't thrilled to have Jay on his crew because of his new alliance with Christa.

Shooting for the Moon

On the Expedition, the Pirates must swim to shore where they will enter the jungle and begin a grueling hike to the Crescent Moon rock formation where they will find their next clue. Once the Expedition starts, everyone jumps over the side of the boat and begins swimming. In the water, the Black Crew takes the lead and Laurel has a hard time swimming, which makes her the last Pirate to reach the shore.

The Black Crew starts to tire quickly as they make their way up the steep hill to the Crescent Moon rock formation. When they arrive there, they discover a clue, which reads, "Next clue is at the planet closest to the sun." Christa knows the clue refers to Mercury, so now with their map, the Pirates must choose one of two paths that leads to a pasture filled with celestial rock formations. The crews must choose their path carefully or they'll be booby trapped along the way. Once in the pasture, the Pirates must locate the Mercury symbol rock formation to find their next clue.

The Black Crew chooses one of the paths, but when they accidentally trigger a trap, which sends a net falling on their heads, they realize they have chosen the wrong one. When they backtrack, they run into the Red Crew uncovering their first clue.
