Jay claims to be looking out for Ben, to which Ben replies, "By telling [Christa] that I want her gone? To me, that does not seem like you're looking out for me. That seems like you're trying to get rid of me." Jay fesses up to telling Christa that Ben wants her gone because he felt he was in a bad position. Ben is shocked by Jay's actions, proclaiming, "I never turn on anybody until they turn on me."
As Christa starts to cry, Jay realizes his master plan has exploded into a big mess. "Jay and Ben, they went at each other hardcore," Christa says, as Jay and Ben leave. "They both lied to me, they're about to chew each other's heads off."
Ben and Jay Get Desperate
Later, Ben meets with Christa, worried that she'll pick him over Jay for the Black Spot. "I swear on my daughter's life, you are not getting a Black Spot," Christa reassures him. Ben feels relieved, later saying, "Everything was going just as planned. Christa understood that Jay had been lying the whole time and deceiving everybody. And now I think that I'm safe from the Black Spot."
Next, Jay meets with Christa and she informs him that she'll probably have to give him a Black Spot. Upset, Jay vows to never forgive her if she does this and even says he'll cast ballots however she wants. "I'll do anything to get to the end of this game," he later explains. "This game really forces you into a position where you gotta make some difficult choices and do things that go against your morals and your values."
Jay Makes Amends While Laurel Makes Waves
Below deck, Jay attempts to make amends with Ben, telling him that he always wanted the three of them to make it to the end. Ben reacts by saying, "I really like you as a person and I understand that the game is gonna call for this type of stuff to go down. And I can't really blame you for it. I just gotta see it for what it is and go from there."
Laurel meets with Christa next and tells her that Ben admitted he's scared of Christa and would rather compete against Laurel in the end. Christa is taken aback by this information and realizes she has a difficult choice to make.
