"When somebody starts talking about my children, I bond with them, but I don't ever trust anyone on this ship," Jay explains. "Maybe it's because I don't trust myself. They shouldn't trust me, I can tell you that."

Louie's Last Hope

Later, as Jay and Ben cook in the galley, Louie works on the ship. "It's hard to trust anyone and I'm the only one who hasn't really broken my word to anyone," Louie says. "And when Christa looked around and said she needs to find a Pirate that she can trust, I'm thinking, well, that's gotta be me."

Louie meets with Christa, hoping to be the lone Pirate this week who doesn't receive a Black Spot. Christa admits that she'll probably allow Jay to cast the ballot because of her pact with Ben and Jay. Louie doesn't know what Jay would do in that position because he has seemingly formed separate alliances with both Louie and Ben. As Louie tells Christa that Jay shouldn't be trusted, Christa hopes she'll make the right decision.

Christa Makes Her Choice

While Louie soaks in the sight of a rainbow on deck, Christa struggles below deck with choosing who to mark with the Black Spot. Jay joins her and tells her, "I don't need a Black Spot. I am the person that has a pact with both Louie and Ben. So call it poetic justice, but I probably should be the one to have to make that decision." When Christa asks whether or not he would vote Mutiny, he remains cryptic. "Why wouldn't I think about [mutiny]?" he later explains. "It's a great option."

Up on deck, Christa addresses her crew before handing out the letters and admits that they were the three she wanted to stay with until the end. "When I first saw Louie, I thought he was the kindest, most sincere person that I've ever met in my life," she says, close to tears. "And Jay is the most crazy, psychotic person I've ever met in my life and I love it. And I fell in love with Ben ever since I first heard him sing."
