She then proceeds to hand out the letters, which results in Louie and Ben each receiving a Black Spot. "I'm gonna fight for it, I don't wanna leave this ship," Louie says when he sees his Spot. "I want my journey to continue. And tonight I'm gonna do my best as I do everyday."

When Ben sees his Spot, he realizes that Jay has skated through this competition without ever receiving a Black Spot. "The scary part of tonight's Pirates' Court is that one Pirate holds all of the power and it's Jay," Ben points out. "Jay's the only one that's safe in this whole equation and he's the one who's been the most devilish the entire time. I wouldn't put it past him to do anything."

Pirates' Court - Confessions, Tears and a Single Vote

At Pirates' Court, Christa says she feels bad about marking Louie and Ben, but she knows Louie has had a wonderful experience and she knows that Ben has many great things in store for him even if he's cut adrift. Louie begins his defense by talking about how he works hard on the ship. "If she could talk, she would tell you that there's more of my sweat and more of my skin on these lines and I deserve to run for Captain Steel's treasure," he says to Jay. "You don't want to be known as the dog who crushed Lou Dog's dreams."

Ben defends himself next and admits that Louie is a better man than him, but not a better Pirate. After pointing out that nice guys finish last on a Pirate ship, Ben shocks everyone when he confesses to sabotaging the Expedition. "The name of the game here is self-preservation and it eats me up inside 'cause Louie, I respect you as a man," Ben says, addressing Louie. "But I'm on a Pirate ship and we're chasing treasure. So, it's not something I'm proud of, but I did what I had to do to preserve my life here on the ship."
