Danny Rodriguez & Jon Bond
Jon Bond, a 16-year-old from Orange County, California won the preliminary round in the Young Dancers category. Street dancer Danny Rodriguez, a 14-year-old from Brentwood New York, was up first and performed a routine full of flips and head stands. Jon Bond brought a drastically different style of dance to the stage, performing a classical routine with a modern edge that showed off his training and flexibility. The judges gave Danny 8 stars, and Jon 13, and Jon moved on to the next round.

The competition continued as Jon Bond faced the Winners' Circle, challenging Rah'Shan and Rah'Shad in a dance-off. With a score of 10, the dancing duo lost their place in the Winners' Circle, and Jon Bond will take their place next Saturday, February 6 at 8pm ET/PT.

WINNERS' CIRCLE
We know they can move on the dance floor, but can they maneuver their way around tough interview questions? The Young Dancer Winners' Circle members sat down with Extra's Jon Kelley to put their interviewing skills to the test.

Jon Cruz was first to sit down for the one-on-one interview, and he talked about his eagerness to "represent the community" of street dancers. Candace and Brandon, who attended a performing arts school in Florida, discussed their school's negative reaction to their involvement with STAR SEARCH, and their recent withdrawal from that school. Rah'Shan and Rah'Shad talked about overcoming a tough childhood, and their desire to show people that "something good does come out of the ghetto."

Interviewer Jon Kelly chose Rah'Shan and Rah'Shad as the best interviewers, complimenting the twins on their synchronous answers.
