Estevan "ES" Johnson Erin Boehme Freedom Bremner
Estevan "Es" Johnson & Erin Boehme
Twenty-seven-year-old Es, from Boston Massachusetts, won tonight's preliminary round in the Adult Singer category. Es sang first, performing the soulful "What Kind of Man Would I Be?" which was originally performed by "Mint Condition." MC Lyte said, "I loved his tone" and complimented him on his "ability to command the attention of the audience." Next to perform was 17-year-old Erin Boehme from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who sang Norah Jones' recent hit "Don't Know Why." In the second tie of the night, the judges had to name one winner, and Es moved on to the next round of competition.

With the chance to knock out one of the Winners' Circle members, Es challenged Freedom Bremner, who got serious singing "Let's Get Serious," by Jermaine Jackson. The judges gave Freedom a seriously perfect score of 15, and the chance to return to STAR SEARCH on Saturday, February 14 at 8pm ET/PT.

WINNERS' CIRCLE
This week, the Adult Singer Winners' Circle members competed for a chance to attend the Grammy Awards Ceremony. But it wasn't a singing competition--it was a test to see who was fashionable enough for the red carpet. Celebrity stylist Derek Lee gave Freedom, Jake and Vickie some fashion advice, saying that Freedom needed to "update" his look, noting that "boy next door" Jake needs "an edge," and suggesting Vickie try attire with corsets and off-the-shoulder looks. Will the Adult Singers dress for s

uccess or commit fashion faux pas?

After the singers shopped, Derek assessed their ensembles, telling Vickie that she looked "incredible," and choosing her as the winner. Vickie was thrilled to be going to the Grammys, but she's also looking forward to being called out of the Winners' Circle, warning her competitors: "You better be practicing too, and you better have as much heart as I have."
