Well I feel like since Ian and James are letting down team Palau on the bloggin' (come on guys you want the All Stars to beat us?) I need to pick up the slack!

So I decided to share this little diddy...

I was talking to Wanda about Kevin and she too said she had a run in with the little pranskter even on her short stay of just 3 days. She said he played a keyrole in some of her song writing and that he is threatening to sue for royalties if he doesn't start getting some street cred for it. I pray this doesn't turn into a he sue she sue.

*In all seriousness I had never heard the 'true story' of Kevin until I was talking to wanda yesterday who of course got to spend some time with him off the island. Kevin who we all thought was Jonathon...IS Jonathon. Jonathon said the confusion started when in the beginning of the game someone asked his name 'Jonathon Kevin'...Kevin is his middle name and then everyone thought his first name was Kevin. I had no idea there was a real Kevin..did you know that Katie? Ian? We have joked about Kevin for a year and it really is Jonathon lol*

Finally a little kat-kat in the house!!!

Decided to talk about a few of the ones still on my mind that I haven't mentioned yet esp now that I have watched some more of the extra videos...

Morgan- she was so darn cute in her video, I don't know what she did to not get on TV though :( I think maybe it was just luck of the draw for being on the Steph and Bobby Jon show...too bad. Hearing her talk about her girlie tribe made me smile and I have noticed that Steph's team (besides Jamie which is why I think he is gone soon) is a very fem tribe, which of course I love :)

Lydia- Spitfire Lydia...she is like a Twila/Lil/Wanda hybrid that is actually normal! She is one of my favorites but unless she makes herself a very valuable pawn she won't last long just because she is so different. If she follows her pied pipper Brian...she is in the game for a long haul. She already impressed me with her coping skills in saving her neck.

Cindy- I can't figure her out...but she sticks out for a reason...can't decide why though?

And I can't help but compare the new to the old...

Blake is the new Janu-sick all the time

Brianna is the new Jenn- you hardly even know she is there...under the radar player said what?

Cindy is the new Steph- tough as nails

Rafe is the new Katie- not very useful but will go all the way to the end knowing it is JUST a game of numbers.

Steph is the new Tom- she will do what it takes to win.

Brian is the new Coby- whether you like it or not Brian your game is already a busy one and unless you play this game better than me (which I think you will) you might get caught with your hand in to many cookie jars. But play with everyones cookies just right the right way and you will be in the end surrounded by the people you want to be...

Lydia/Rafe/Brianna/Steph

I know why you will keep Steph, the old saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer...keep her close Brian and watch your back!!! She is your only competition I see in this game so far.

Ok - so I'm a wee bit late on the blogging - sorry gang - how is everyone?......good to see you fellow All Stars again - Ethan you were wild on Fear Factor - you looked marvelous in all of that dog poo or whatever iit was you were rolling around in !! And Jenna - how are you girl?

And thanks Cesty - anytime you're ready and loaded with sea urchin spines - I'll pee on you - NO !!!- I take that back!!! Anyway - hello to all!

Hey - I like this cast - terrific drama! Just what Probst and the gang are looking for! I'm lovin Jeff in that new "lid" - we'll have to give him major grief for wearing the hat .

OK - so I agree with you on the quarterback dude - why bother lying - it will kill him in the end when the tribes bond even further and he has to fess up that he lied - no one will care about his past now and the lie will make his status weak- which leads me to believe that his decision making abilities for the future and "playing the game" will be weak - maybe he'll be a fast learner - who knows - but if he's worried about keeping this illusion up - he is way off on good strategy-he is not a convincing lier

Ethan - you're right about Blake - good god man!! - suck it up - remember how bad it was on All Stars?.....we were shocked at how quickly you were dropping weight and we all felt like day 3 was day 15 - so many were hurting - but we kept it to ourselves.........maybe I'll give Bake a break since the adrenaline rush from the challenges might be bringing him back to reality (ha) - but still - remember even in Eco Challenge and the athletes were hurting- but they quietly forged ahead - I just don't get it - but he is strategic as the athlete on the tribe

Ropes! Geez, I had traumatic flashbacks of the rope swing watching the challenges this episode. So many ropes! I felt for Rafe, I know it's ONLY a ladder, Ethan, but maybe Rafe has some peculiar phobia of ladders. You never know...

Not to pick on you Ethan, but I find it amusing that you claim Jenna stole your ideas yet, she blogged first. Seem's fishy. :)

I am not sure how I feel about Brian, AKA "Mini-Carrots" yet. His favorite food is "mini-carrots", why not just plain ol' "carrots"? He seems pretty intelligent, we'll see..

*My favorite moment *: gratuitous shot of Bobby Jon's pelvis.

Ralph-what is wrong with coattails? ;)

The worst thing about this blogging stuff is the fact that my girlfriend has stolen my ideas. So, for Ethan's blog #2, please see Jenna's Blog # 2. No wonder she did so well on Survivor....pretty cleaver! So right now, I'm sitting in the stairwell of my apartment so Jenna won't sneak a peak. I think Rafe was hanging out with Dan Leu...did you go to the gym for at least 10 minutes before Guatemala? It's a ladder. Thats it, just a ladder. All you did in Kindergarten was finger paint, eat twizzlers and climb ladders... all forms of ladders.

Lets talk about Flake....I mean Blake. If you're really that short of breath how did you muster enough strength to climb the web...twice. Dont cry wolf...he will bite you back in the end.

Gary you should have told the truth...it may be tough to keep this quarterback sneak up for 32 more days. It's your word against Danni's...and she's a lot prettier than you.

Hey, castmates, am I missing something with the Steph thing? She kicks butt in challenges and she's kinda cute.
But I wonder what she'd be like with some social skills and a personality. I honestly think her days are numbered. So far this season, I've gotten a few laughs off Brandon and Brian's brains have me intrigued. Thanks for the high five Rob. You, Rupert, Leann, Coby and Rudy gave me some great laughs on the show. The latest reports (and the oldest texts) confirm, "laughing is goooooooooood for us". I'm counting on Brandon and Brian to keep me chuckling.

Jenna

9/23/05 5:18 pm
ok...

Rob I completely agree with you about Steph, I think she is wearing out the welcome alitle bit, BUT still hot though! I was actually really surprised to see her so shocked that her name came up to vote off, I would expect it if I were her since this isnt her first time on the show. Jamie, I think it was, did a nice job of pointing her out at tribal council as the strongest girl/guy!

I gotta give to to Dannie. I think this might be the first time, minus the all star, where someone tries to approach a player from the other team to "talk". She already has managed to stir things up on the other team giving away Gary.

I think Judd has just put himself in a nice important position on the tribe by kicking butt in the tug-o-war.

Cindy is my dark horse for now.

Brian seems to have some control over the tribe by getting them to save Lydia, who they should of voted off!

Rob

Is it just me, or did you guys like Steph better the first time around too? Did you see the look on Steph’s face when she found out that the tribe might have the audacity to talk about voting her out? God Forbid!! Steph couldn’t even understand why they want to get to rid of her, after all she is “the strongest girl”. Maybe it’s because the rest of tribe realizes they won’t get any airtime until Steph’s back home getting ready for Survivor 12! But don’t worry Steph, I still think you’re hot!

I can’t believe that Rafe’s name hasn’t come up at tribal council. He seems to be the worst in the challenges and from what I can tell the only thing he is contributing is sappy Survivor clichés like “this tribe has spirit” and “I’m voting to keep the tribe united”.

Morgan, we barely got to know you. (Insert lame joke about the magician’s assistant’s disappearing act here.) I think that Morgan is the only Survivor in history to share her name with the name of a former tribe. Not much to hang your hat on, but someday it just might get you on a pringle.

Scout - Brian does look like the man to beat. Thanks for the shout-out! You were my favorite on Survivor: Vanuatu. I swear!

First let me tell you that my TIVO messed up and I missed the first 20 minutes...I am sure you can imagine just how pleased as punch I was when I walked into the living room and turned on the TV...did anyone hear me scream?

But Eliza caught me up in the phone (taking a study break from law school) and told me all I missed was the RC with Blake pulling it out of his barf bag for his team. With a few remarks of Steph again pronouncing her team as the sweetest bestest greatest team ever!

So from what I saw on...

Judd/Brandon- These guys are men's men and don't do a thing for me. Brandon was one of my preshow favs but his 'man ups' and other sassy comments, I feel him to be a bit offensive. I mean if Blake is a jerk call him a jerk but stop sissyfying his actions.

Margaret- Like I said last week just don't see her lasting.

Brian/Rafe- I have predicted these two to be the best players in the game from preshow and their alliance or downfall with Steph will be what this show will be remembered for.

Jamie- Impressed me that he was SMART enough to want to get rid of Steph. If ONLY they would have listened my dear Jamie. I tried the same thing in Palau with Tom and nobody would listen. I am afraid this season will have the same result with Steph making it to the end because nobody is smart enough to take her out. Why don't you just hand Steph the check for a million and get it over with.

And while we are on the subject of Steph...I too couldn't help but root for her when Jamie announced she played the game like a man and harder than anyone else.

I shared her smirk watching her at the tribal council, both of us knowing she had just dodged her first bullet.
And as looked into my friends eyes, I saw a gleam that said, " O my god! I can actually win this!"
and I am starting to believe it too :)

Thursday night, 8 PM... time for "Everybody Hates Chris". Ok, I'm 15 minutes in and Chris Rock isn't even on this show, What a rip-off! Fine, I'll switch to "Survivor". Well the tribes have merged and it appears Ethan and Lex are politicing. I like their thinking. Big Tom can't spell. T-Bird is HOT!

See ya next week.

xoxo,

Yaxha made the right choice. Morgan may be young and strong, but she had "coattails" written all over her. Sometimes coattails can carry a player all the way to the end, but that kind of game-play, especially coupled with a lackluster performance around camp, can also make for dull TV. Like Scout, I'm glad Lydia dodged the axe.

Things don't look so good for Blake at this point. Will he rally, or will the barfing continue?

First of all, my hats off to John Kirhoffer and your team of games people for consistently creating new challenges that result in dead heat finishes. It’s too early in the game to pick a favorite tribe, but we had to scream for the heart and soul of Brandon, Blake, Jamie, Cindy, Lydia, Brian, Margaret and Judd. Even with veterans of the game hogging the spotlight, other players are beginning to really shine.
Brandon got my heart with his, “Ya’ gotta’ Man Up” and his “Butt Crack of dawn”. I just love those country boys! The great thing about Brandon is that he’s brawny, brainy, and a damn good worker. I agree with Judd about burpin’, barfin’ Blake. The boy has got to do more than lay around camp being pampered. Margaret is starting to show the downside of a strength. Her nurturing is one of her strengths, but too much enabling can result in creating laziness.
Judd got his wish to be the hero. He twice kicked butt and showed off his great timing. In this game, timing is everything! Gary is busted flat in Guatemala! Danni just took his game to another level. Like Ian from Palau, his insistence on lying might bite him in the butt. He’s a lousy liar, anyway.
I respect his respect for a strong work ethic. It saved Lydia’s butt.
Jamie is out to get Stephanie, but didn’t get buy in for his idea. His forewarning about the girls alliance with Stephanie might come back to haunt the men of Yaxha.
Needless to say, I really respect Lydia. The girl is a worker, a hard competitor and a sweet, integris person. Brian is starting to win me over. He
Seemed to be the one divining the vote against Morgan, thus saving Lydia from the vote. Rafe seems to respect Brian. Brian is starting to look a lot like you, Rob! He’s pretty full of himself, but he’s smart as a whip. I think Rafe will follow his lead. And, what about Rafe? He’s gay. He performed lousy in the challenge, and…he seems to be well liked by all. His name didn’t even come up in Tribal. Rah Rah Rafe has a point. Tribal unity and a unified vote is important to this game. Too bad someone didn’t tell Morgan to get off her butt and help out in camp. That always amazed me in the game. If you’re not the best at challenges, you gotta’ make yourself useful in camp. A great work ethic is very real in basic survival. Lydia proved it again. You go Girl!
