| 10/5/05 7:52 pm I'm so sorry for my late blog. The past couple days have been crazy. I had to vote out my good friend Big Tom, I fell off the log, kissed Kim J's butt, and stuck it to Brandon on his own stupid question. Anyway...I won!!!! I'm beside myself. I'm not sure if I should use the check to pay for a "queer eye make over"or just pay Probst to make Brian stop talking. I've been doing press all day, I was even asked to be on Battle of the Network Reality Stars II. I hope they pick me.
Cant wait for Guatamala......

| 10/5/05 12:18 pm Hey Castmates, I have heard from a guy named Ian who started www.letmeonsurvivor.com. He's gathered over 2400 signatures so far. He's working hard to get Canadians on Survivor. What do think about this? Could be interesting...Canada versus the USA. Kathy, love your perspective. Knew I would. I'm really looking forward to meeting you face to face one of these days. I think our experience as Corporate Coaches and Team builder's give us a different slant on the show. Coby, how's little Janu?

| 10/4/05 7:44 pm Hey Smarty-pants Rob, it's P-A-L-A-U. Not Pulau (is that pronounced Poo-Lou-a?)
Hey all- Ian, has once again reminded me of why I am so fond of him with his reference to Sesame Street's "cooperation" episode.
Well, well, well it is certainly getting interesting now! Agree with you guys on the Steph thing... Ian, don't you remember Steph telling us her nickname in lacrosse was "Street-Cat"? I highly doubt that was because of her emotional leadership on the field. You'd think that the second time around one would realize, that above all Survivor is a SOCIAL game. Steph doesn't seem to have made any real bonds with her tribemates. (Except for maybe Gary, but I'm sure he'd sell her out for one of the boys if it came down to it). Specifically, I found it interesting that when Amy and Lydia were enthusiastically talking about how stinky and disgusting Amy's shirt had become by day 7, Steph made snippy comments like, "It's only day 7...". I'm pretty sure everyone knows Steph has done this before. Let them have their adventure! She seems to have forgotten how exciting the adventure is and become a teensie-bit bitter. At this stage in the game the tribe needs to have a shared identity which distinguishes them from the other. The more Steph alienates her tribemates the worse off they ALL are.
I wish we would hear more from Danni. She kicked butt in both challenges, joined the men for a dip in croc-infested waters, and was hit it the head with a beam a number of times! You'd think we would hear a little bit from her.
My 2 Favorite moments: *When Lydia ran like the wind with the ball in the immunity challenge. *When Brian went mental during his Yaxha encouragement speech.

| 10/4/05 3:28 pm Are these Caryn and Willard people you speak of more wackly made-up Pulau names like Kevin?
 | Ian
| 10/3/05 2:16 pm Man, I really picked on Caryn and Willard there didn't I?
...
I guess if the buff fits...

| 10/3/05 2:14 pm Okay, so I forgot how to log on to this thing...
But I'm comin back like Jeff Probst from VH1 Rock and Roll Jeopardy
Kathy, I TOTALLY agree with you about the non-athlete team thing. The same thing happened with us on Palau. I remember thinking...ahh crap, how in God's name are we gonna compete with the Fall Abercrombie catalog...especially with people like Caryn and Willard. We all know how that turned out. Its all about believing in the crew.
By the way, nice to meet you Kathy. I like your style
As far as Steph as a leader...having lived with the girl, athlete she definitely is. Hard worker she definitely is. But emotional leader, while she probably is on the lacrosse field, shes not on the show. If you are the underdog, embrace it and use it as motivation to kick the howler monkey out of the other team, don't get pissy cause somehow your crew was in the bathroom when Sesame Street ran the "cooperation" episode
I always said that Stephanie and Bobby Jon their crew should have beat us every time in Palau, but every time they would get behind in a challenge, as opposed to slowing down and communicating, they would start arguing. Then we'd just use the superior strength and intellect of Willard and Caryn to carry us through the rest of the way to victory.
I met some kids at a Penn State campus (5-0 baby!!!) I just visited, and they said to say hi to you all. They were really excited to know that I got to type to you, and they were big fans of most of you (sorry Rob C). So a big shout out to the crew at Penn State Dubois.
So far, favorite player award goes to Judd slash "Turtle". I love this guy. And Danni wins the "Person I'd most love to be stuck in a Mayan Temple with" award. Plus, she likes the Chiefs...what more could you want?
Coby, I'd be willing to bet one of the reasons they started Survivor: American Gladiators was because it was so much fun watching you beat the crap out of James last season in Survivor: Yokozuma Sumo edition.
Way to go Kirhoffer, the challenges rule this season.

| 10/3/05 10:50 am Thought I'd share an email I got from a newspaper editor and past great fan of Steph's. Sure hope Steph learns to be as great of a team player with concern for others as she is a physical player. It'll help balance out her physical prowess. " I keep thinking about how Steph acted in last week's Survivor. The more more I think abouther 'You don't know pike!' line, the more it irks me. I mean, what the hell??!! Like the world hinges on if someone knows basketball plays?! What a crock. She really dropped in my eyes with her attitude in this week's show."

| 10/3/05 12:03 am After this afternoon, I'm wondering if Gary H. might be interested in suiting up for my J-E-T-S!

| 10/2/05 9:19 pm First of all......Steph...strong...tenacious....but leader?....far from it - how about lifting the team "Up" instead of slamming them at tribal council, Steph......
It is evident that a few of Steph's tribe mates ( including Steph) are wishing to be on the other team - you can see it in their faces at tribal council- they keep calling themselves the losing team "without the athletes"...they have all the right emotions to lose future challenges - bitterness, negative attitudes........ to win on Survivor - it doesn't matter about brute strength - it is all about attitude and connecting with each other - Steph could turn that team around along with Gary and Rafe and Brian - but it's all about believing in "the team" - if they were truly bonded (like Brian keeps stating)...they would have been communicating and connecting in a better format to win the immunity challenge - FIGURE IT OUT Steph and Gary !- Lydia and Brianna aren't athletes - but clue them in on how to play the challenge and ENCOURAGE them -
I remember on Marquesas being on the non-athletic team and we kicked butt and won 5 challenges against he big athletic team - even the producers were surprised - but we liked each other and released caution and attitudes and trusted each others ability no matter how small and we won tough challenges.
Cindy the zookeeper is a kick but can her boobs be any further apart - I know Coby you think they're hot.....but Emma , my bud and I agree that something is odd with her cleavage!-
- and Judd - what a typical New Yorker - love his comments about the monkey- but sometimes during Survivor Guatemala I think the monkey might be a smarter tribe member then some of this cast.
And Jeff is right - one of these non athletic tribe members on the next "thinking man"challenge will surprise everyone
My prediction for the next immunity is Yaxha will lose and either Brian or Amy will be voted out.

| 10/1/05 2:02 pm What happened to the good old days of Survivor when they had to run through the woods with a camcorder asking themselves questions? Or running into a dark building looking for a can opener? Now it is 'Survivor 2005 Gladiator Edition!!! We are on Survivor and we are here to Rock You and Kick Your A*#!!!' The point of Survivor when it started was to see how different groups of people handled living together in a strange environment. Now it seems the point of Survivor is to keep the best athlete on your team in a do or die situation. Which I think keeps us from getting to know alot of interesting characters who might not know what to do with a set of balls. Like poor Brianna, I think she was a trouble maker and could have had some fun stirring up trouble in the game but alas her concrete feet kept her from playing the rest of the game. I find myself at this point really only focusing on 2 people, one male and one female but it is not the ones CBS wants me too... Cindy- I find her not only the hottest female Survivor ever but I love her confessionals and her great attitude. Holler Monkeys keeping you up all night? Well, Cindy knows how to calm your nerves by flashing her white smile and ample cleavage (I hope I don't offend you Cindy but you are hot enough to make this gay man go straight). Worried about Crocs? Cindy knows their breeding patterns! And she almost had to kick Steph's butt in the challenge. I can only hope to get a showdown with these 2 ladies later :) Brian- Even with his pre-challenge 'cheerleader on to much sugar' speech I find this guy fun to watch. He 'owns' Lydia and is calling on the shots in the game (ooo have I heard/said that before my dear Brian). I can't help but remember what Jeff Probst said about me in my pre show videos, " If Coby is as good as he thinks he is, he can go as far as he wants in this game." Right back at you Brian...play hard have fun...but a fun game isn't always a winning one. Here is to me keeping my fingers crossed for you. A showdown between you and Steph as well but not in a challenge as with Cindy but the final 2 players of the game. Keep your enemies close.

| 9/30/05 1:09 pm Can you believe that through 3 weeks the word “alliance” hasn’t even come up? We know these guys vote people out if they’re weak, don’t work hard or are bad in the challenges – but isn’t there supposed to be more to Survivor than this? Maybe they changed the rules to make the game one that Stephanie could possibly win.
And Steph, WE GET IT, your tribe stinks this time TOO! Do we have to hear her bellyache every episode about her team? Jenna, I think you’re on to something… Could it be that maybe Steph is just a jinx? I mean, I haven’t seen anybody be plagued with this kind of bad luck on an island since Hurley on LOST.
I’m think I’m going to start rooting for Bobby-Jon to win this whole thing, just to hear Steph complain that he got put on “the good tribe”.
Two good-looking girls voted out the last two weeks… Pretty soon Lydia is going to be the best looking woman on the island!

| 9/30/05 10:16 am Ok..
I thought this episode lagged a bit, it was a bit boring to me.
I will say that Danni and Blake have proved themselves to be assets in the challenges. They kicked butt at that IC, so good for them. I am starting to really like Danni and I think if she keeps cool she has the chances to go far.
Is it just me or is it getting alittle annoying with the whole Steph "Im so pissed to be on a losing tribe again" rant. Maybe poor Steph is a bad luck charm. Lets hope her team picks it up but I think it looks doubtful. Steph may be attending tribal council again multiple times.
I think it was so STUPID to get rid of Brianna last night. Clearly Lydia is the weakest link of the group. Even if Brianna doesnt work hard in camp she is younger than Lydia and doesnt need a hip replacement like Lydia said she does. Now they have her and an injured Amy on thier team, doesnt look so good for them in the future.
I think Margaret is great but she needs to calm down a bit at camp. We all know that men dont like to be told what do it especially when its from a woman. Sometimes on Survivor saying nothing is better than saying anything at all.
Lets hope next week when they shuffle the tribes people start to stratagize more and start thinking towards the end of the game, or at least the merge. If they keep voting off all the weak links its gonna be an intense group on the jury all fighting for the lives.

| 9/29/05 10:50 pm Well, well, well. Nakum leads the challenges 6 to l and poor Steph is full on into “Repeat”. Ya’ gotta’ love her “leave it in the dirt” efforts, but we’re not seeing any obvious alliances coming outta’ her. Perhaps she and Gary have a natural unspoken alliance with their athletic prowess, but I gotta’ believe that Lydia, Rafe, Brian, Jamie, and Amy are a pretty tight group. Ouch! That could hurt both Gary and Steph. Braggin’, brainy, Brian is still full of himself...and rightly so. It looks to me like Brian has Yaxha in the palm of his hands. Ya’ gotta’ love his enthusiasm and his athletic ability. The boy’s got brain and brawn. You’re starting to really worm your way into my heart, Brian. Gary got to show off his quarterbacking skills. Good job on “calling the plays” with the blind-fold thing. But what happened in the building project? Looks to me like no-one is stepping up to take charge all the way to the finish line. Steph is good to lead to a point, but when her idea doesn’t make it, she fades back. I’d love to see her turn to someone else and coach them to lead when she’s lost her way. Steph on Yaxha and Blake on Nakum share a similar trait. Both step up to the plate in the challenges and then faint/fall down, etc. (Blake) or pout (Steph). In the world of coaching, we call that “showboating”. Blake sucks up all the support he can get before and after a challenge. He’s a “high maintanence” player. I much prefer Amy’s attitude. She’s truly got grit even tho’ she ain’t got much game. Steph both out plays and out pouts. What’s with the eyebrows, Steph? Do you noticed how you play with them all the time? By the way, Amy. Be happy with the one pair of underwear. In Vanuatu we got zero underwear! Judd makes me laugh. He almost let a monkey take him over the edge. He hit the sleep deprivation thing right on the head! There is no sleeping out there. You rest perhaps, and pray for morning. I loved Cindy’s “Doctor Dolittle” speech. And I loved Judd’s mouth about it. Glad he included his wife in those who can boss him around. Margaret was a strong leader in putting the tent together. The camera didn’t focus on her, but her voice lead the tribe to completion. I don’t get the gender thing in building. Wonder why she didn’t join the guys utilizing the tarp. It looks like it’s either guys or gals. That has always annoyed me. Margaret makes a suggestion and then steps away from it. If you got an idea, lead the brigade. When ya’ step away from an idea, the idea get’s dropped in the dirt. Let’s talk about Lydia. No matter what people say, “attitude” is as huge in this game, as it is in life. Lydian may not be a jock, but she’s a hard worker and she’s got attitude! I just love her for it! Did anyone notice how she painted up for the game! Great stuff. I also love the accent: “Brianna, she kinda’ on da’ weak side”. Right on! Jamie got a chuckle outta’ me too. He took his stand about Princess Brianna. He likes his women “crazy and pretty, and she’s neither”. Classic! He’s a tuff player. Don’t mess with him! Again, Rafe got my heart. The cheery little thing showed us that he is a good athlete. So what if he flunked “rope climbing”. He did alright in “warrior basketball”. Danni showed up to play and used her height to a great advantage. I’m starting to really appreciate her more. Brooke also showed up to play and showed us some good leadership. Her “buff” blossomed and helped pull out another victory for Nakum. Brandon, I love ya’ man! “The brave may not live long, but the cautious don’t live at all”. That will be a much repeated quote. And though it may not be yours originally, you’ll get lots of credit for saying it here. I’m gonna’ say it here, then drop it. Both Palau and Guatemala seem to be getting more in the way of supplies than we had in Vanuatu. We did get blankets and pillows, but no lanterns, fuel, and rope. Wow! Lucky you! Bobby Jon, what’s with the “grown man” thing? Twenty-nine years doesn’t necessarily make one a grown man. And since your “just have fun” strategy worked so well in Palau, I guess you’re trying to repeat it! Lighten up, man! Try to remember Ethan in Africa. Now he really did bring a “just have fun” attitude to the game and it really paid off for him. Hmmmm...Do we detect a “thing” between Danni and Blake? Oh well, it’s fun to at least speculate. However, the “Baby” thing and big hug did have leading overtones! Jeff has a point. “Voting based on physical strength can be risky”. However, I don’t think we’ve lost too much brain power in the game yet. By the way, Jeff. You are really looking hot! Love the new do! Being in love looks gooooooooood on you! Way to go, Jules!
