Episode 08

4/10/06 6:29 pm
Yo, Jenna. I'm shouldered up on A Cirie Win! Wouldn't that be sweet! My "cleaner move" theory would go to hell in a hand basket if Sally wins immunity. That would also be a sweet move.

Whoa Scout you are on a blogging roll!

I agree with Bobby Jon pretty predictable episode as I think every one will be until they get that idol off of Terry. They should just vote for Terry next time he doesn't win immunity, which may be never, and vote also for the other person they would want gone. That way it will force Terry to use the idol and they can vote him off next time. Either way they just need to get him to use it as soon as they can so he can't take it to the final four.

Now I am alittle surprised that Danielle did not take the deal. She could of taken the idol and had that in her pocket for the game which is an odvious advantage. But we are not sure if Bruce decided that he didnt want to flip then Danielle had no reason to flip and take the deal because Terry didnt have the numbers.

But enough talking about Terry in my blog I am over it! Lets talk about how much I love Cirie and how much I want her to win. She is a true example of never giving up on Survivor because you never know what may change. Acouple weeks ago she was at the bottom of her alliance next to be voted off now she is in Shanes final four!!! I am rooting for her all the way.

No shockers in this epsiode and it was no surprise Austin was gone. Lets hope for some shake ups next week. But Ethan and I will be in Africa, he is running a 35 mile marathon with Ian for Grassroot Soccer. So I will miss next weeks show and next weeks blog, I will be on the beach!!! See you in two weeks!!

Here's a cleaner move: Terry and Sally will vote for someone (say, 2 votes for Aras). The 6 pack votes 4 for Terry and 2 for Sally. Terry is forced to show the Idol.
He's safe and the Idol is toast. Now Sally and Aras are tied. Revote! The 6-pack flips and votes Sally out. The 6 pack is safe and Terry is stripped of the Idol. What do you think?

4/8/06 5:42 pm
What do ya'll think of this idea? This might be a smooth move for the 6 pack to flush out the idol and keep one of their own from going home: Three could vote for Terry, three vote for Sally...(Assuming neither one wins individual immunity.)--With that you will have a revote where when someone switches it will be 4 votes Terry and two votes Sally. Terry pulls out the immunity idol, and it's Sally that goes home, instead of a member of the 6 pack. It could work! (Gotta' credit Dustin with the idea)

This just in from Lis regarding the Native American woman's concern about the use of the word "Tribes" in the Survivor game:

"With regard to the Creek woman who complained about the use of "tribes," I'd like you to remind her that "tribe" comes from the Latin tribus. Tribe was a term brought to this land by the Europeans and applied by them to the different groups of people they met living here."

Hey Bobby Jon,
I guess the 6-pack might vote out Sally first. Don't think Terry will blow the idol when there is no hope for a shift. There is a part of me who has to appreciate the ability of the 6-pack to hang. Ho-Hum. It's just so boring.

4/7/06 2:25 pm
There is really nothing to say other than this was an extremely predictable episode.

* Terry wins immunity- shocker.
* Terry try's to get people to flop and they don't- shocker.
* Austin gets voted out- shocker.

The only thing about next week is the little alliance of six will be busted up regardless(Terry either wins immunity or pulls out the idol). So, someone from the alliance of six will be going home, which will leave Sally and Terry in a better position to earn a final four spot. I don't see Sally going home just yet, but that's just me. See ya next week.

Hey Everybody, sorry I took a week off from the Survivor blog - my trip to exile island has ended.

I hope Danielle knows what she's doing, because if she doesn't end up in the final four she's going to feel pretty stupid. She basically walked away from "an offer you can't refuse".

However, I'm suprised she didn't win the reward challenge because I always thought she was good at dragging around coconuts.

Cold and wet in a bed with two strange men is no way to go through life.

Did you know that the 2-disc unrated edition of "The Scorned" will "drop" into stores everywhere DVDs are sold on April 11th?

If you would've told me two months ago that Cirie would be headed to the final four and Mandisa would be out, I would've said you're crazy.

Did Sally tell Terry she almost pooped her pants? I bet it was something to do with all that bacon.
My Survivor clock could be off, but shouldn't be Day 24 after 8 episodes and not only Day 21? Maybe Panama doesn't do daylight savings time.

Did Aras say "No Whammies"? Next time he needs to preface that with "Big Bucks, Big Bucks!"

I've got something new that I want to start talking about, but I cant just yet. All I can say is that it involves Soup. Yes, soup.

My Bad! It was Aras who called sweet Austin a slime ball. It'll be fun to watch Aras squirm now. Everyone knows that Terry has the immunity idol. Therefore, they all know that whoever he and Sally vote for is gone...and it looks like that person will be Aras. After Sally, Aras is gonna' fight like hell to get Bruce off over Terry. How fun is this.
By the way, you Rock in this game, Terry. I'd love to see you and Tom facing off in a final endurance challenge! What a show!

4/6/06 11:10 pm
Aras sucks.

4/6/06 10:17 pm
Great blog, Amy. Durn, you're fast. Have fun in the Bahamas!
It was almost unbearable for me to watch Austin and Danielle shivering in the cold, wet unstoppable rain! It brought back memories of cold, cold, wet Vanuatu and the nights of teeth chattering, soaking wet nights in the rain. I totally understand Austin’s sentiments, “This is the most miserable I’ve ever been in my life”.
No surprises around the vote. Ole “slime ball” Austin had to go! Where in the world does Shane get off calling sweet Austin a “slime ball”? It sooooooo takes one to know one, Shane! Terry could have pulled the immunity idol out, given it to Austin (who so hoped he would) and sent Aras packing. However, the fact that Danielle and Bruce didn’t shift made it obvious that it would have been a wasted move. But now everyone will know that Terry has the idol. That’s probably not a surprise to anyone.
Terry was probably totally integris in offering Danielle the idol if she would shift. However, the “integrity, honesty, honor prevails speech” seemed like an antithesis to asking a person to abandon their alliance. Hmmmm. Where is the honor in that?
Perhaps the most surprising revelation was the “final four” as revealed by Shane:
Shane, Aras, Courtney, and Cirie. What happened to Danielle? Bruce is obviously the bottom of the 6-pack, but what keeps Shane’s name out of the mix? Shane’s looks alone are enough to send him packing.
It’s obvious that Danielle, Courtney, and Cirie are holding out for the final three. I’d love to see them bring Sally and Terry into the mix and wave good-bye to Bruce, Aras, and Shane. Wouldn’t that be sweet! Bruce is a bit of a strange one and Aras is out for Aras. He’s a great guy, but I’d love to see the women come together in the end.
Loved seeing Bruce get a “shaka” out of Jeff Probst on the beach. Cool! Also loved hearing about Sally’s best night with men: “Two total strangers in a wet bed with croissants!” Come on, Sally. A social worker can do better than that! Sally is one hell-of-an athlete. I’m on my knees praying that she can worm her way into the circle of women.
As usual, Cirie gave me my best moment. This time she was trying to squeeze her cute self under that log! Funny stuff, Cirie,…and I agree. Sally really shouldn’t brag about all that bacon! Ho-hum! Gotta’ confess. I’m a little bored with the “pick em off” game. Can’t anyone out there think of a way to really shake this game up! It’s so much more exciting when a major twist gives us a brand new game. Come on, Gitanos! Do something bizarre and thrill us here at home. At least the challenges keep us entertained. Way to go John boy!
P.S. I spoke to a woman with the Creek Indian Nation yesterday. She is offended with “Tribes” and “Tribal Council” being used in Survivor. I asked her for terms that would be even better. She didn’t have any. What do ya’ think?

WOW! I loved this episode! I was on the edge the whole time.
It all started at the reward challenge with the three different teams.
When Aras, Bruce and Sally won, I was surprised. I thought the ALL man team had it in the bag.

I understood why Aras sent Austin to Exile Island, but I could not figure out why he picked Danielle..at first.

Man, did that suck at Exile Island. We can all understand how miserable it can get when there is absolutely nothing you can do when it just pours. You just suck it up!

The immunity challenge was unbelievable. Incredible. I got to give it up to John K. who creates these challenges. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time imagining how I would have done. Then I sat back and ate some more Pringles and washed it back with a cool one.

Good job by Sally making it to the end, but Mr. Universe is unstoppable.
Terry made a major move. He got info that will change this game. Terry found out from Shane that Bruce and Danielle are not in the final four. Then he told Bruce and Danielle.

Terry’s move to get Danielle and Bruce to join himself, Sally and Austin was pretty good. Even offering Danielle the idol, but it had some risk. It didn’t work out and now everyone will know he definitely has the idol. Terry is always thinking.

Danielle was a “no deal”. (You started it Jenna) Now, some will consider this a bad move. I don’t see it this way. This is why--------------Danielle appears to be safe for a couple of more weeks. BUT I say BUT she now knows that she is on the bottom of her tribe’s alliance. IN her mind this is confirmed by the fact she was chosen to go to Exile Island.

My money goes on Danielle to make her own final four someway. Anybody with me on this??

Fantasy Final Four: Danielle, Cirie, Sally and ‘cause I have to give him his props—Terry
Get rid of him quick girls and guys.
I am sure Shane and Aras won’t go without a major fight.

I will be off to the Bahamas next week. If they are showing Survivor poolside I will put my two cents in. Finally off to an island where I don’t have to worry about a croc chomping on my ass.
