4/14/06 9:57 pm Aw, it's good to hear from Coby again. He's a good guy.
Speaking of good guys who are MIA from the blog: this just in from Rafe. He's in LA without the ability to see the episodes or access the blog, but he sends his love. Actually, he only sent his love to Sally, to whom he still professes his undying adoration. News of her boot hit him hard, and he's slowly recuperating. |

4/14/06 9:20 pm Okay Coby Fans....Here's a message from our Coby. We miss you, Man!
"I LOVE TERRY!!! That is right all you Survivor fans and ex-Survivors... hell has froze over... I love Tom Jr. But let us get this straight Terry or Tom Jr. as we have all come to call him is no Tom. Tom had the numbers on his side from the start of the game....Terry has not. The only comparison left between the two men is their physical threat ability. Beside that comparison they play two very DIFFERENT games. I loved Tribal last night when Terry admitted to his continuing kicking of everyone else's hineys with a smirk and a grin. Tom would have aww shucked his way out of it and pretended to be everyone's best friend. Where as Tom was the wolf in sheep's clothing...Terry is full on wolf! Terry tells those poor little sheep... "I am gonna bark, bite and chase your butts down, so you better start running." So I have decided instead of Tom Jr.... Terry is really more of Steph Sr... He is the last of his tribe against the odds but he is the outcast that can deliver. I haven't seen a outcast since my man Burton that could dominate his way to the end with no alliance involved. The only problem I see in Terry's game right now is that he is putting all is eggs in one basket (way to go Coby for getting in a Easter reference in). A lone wolf is exactly that. So unless you can keep all those sheep running, you had better watch out or the flock will get you first. I predict that poor Terry is putting to much pressure on his lone bad wolf....and might run out of breath ( way to go Coby for an analogy and a 3 little pigs reference...need to get away from Janu's reading material). Go Steph Sr. GO!!! Go straight to GO collect your million dollars!!! p.s. I am a bit scared because anytime anyone becomes my favorite they never win. Never. If Shane wins you will all see my obituary because I will gag on my own puke like he almost did on his 2nd cheeseburger." COBY
I gotta' agree on the Terry/Tom differences. Good point, Man. Sure hope we don't have to read your obituary!

4/14/06 11:55 am So here's my question for Terry and Sally: why, after Terry won immunity, didn't he go around loudly announcing that he had given the hidden idol to Sally (even if he hadn't)?
For as smart as Terry is, it really seems as though he's not playing his ace-in-the-hole well. After he won immunity, he should have given Sally the hidden idol as a decoy (as in, not for her to keep, but just to use as strategy, thus ensuring he'd still have it for himself should he need it down the road). Then he and Sally could have gone around camp proudly announcing that they're BOTH immune, so who is going to be the first one out of the Casaya alliance? It would have fractured the Alliance of Six, who would have had to scramble for a new plan. Inevitably, one of the six would have been revealed as the new boot, and Terry and Sally could have capitalized on that.
Similarly, Terry and Sally could have said "We're both immune, and we're voting for Aras, so if you vote against Sally, she'll put out the idol, and Aras will go, unless you have another plan." Chances are pretty good that Aras would have worked out another plan, since he seems very intelligent, and then Sally wouldn't have even had to USE the idol, and could have returned it to Terry after a successful ploy.
I miss Sally already. Rafe must be devastated. |

4/14/06 1:01 am Pretty good episode I thought. Is it just me, or does Probst seem a little more "light hearted" or maybe a little more "one-on-one" with this group than he is with most? I don't know....Jeff's job requires him to wear a few hats(titles, duties, etc.,) from time-to-time, but he rarely tries to get to know a contestant. And I'm not implying that his intentions this season are to GET TO KNOW this group, but rarely does Jeff for example get so sincere with Shane about his family video, rarely do you see a Bruce/Jeff--"hey whats up"--interaction before a challenge begins. And there is nothing wrong with it. But it's either two things A) He is sincere--B) He's just playing the game, or maybe it's both, but I think Jeff's a little more "sincere" or down-to-earth with this group this season, just an observation.
I always root for the underdog, and I was hoping Sally was not going to be the one who went home. I mean, you can't really blame the alliance of six, they want to finish as best as possible, but I just like to see the underdogs rise to the occasion. And you know, you can look at it and say, "Well, Terry should have given Sally the immunity idol," But Terry is playing that game like a bat-out-of-hell, and he's kicking a$$ and taking names and for the most part he has class about it. And again, with the idol, he's the one who found the darn thing and I don't expect him to give it away. He tried to bargan last week, and he got no bites, so it's out of the question. But we at home are all noticing how the navy has paid off for him in this game. The guy is focused, when it comes to game play and there is no denying that, however.............Terry lost the game tonight at Tribal. And I have to agree with Scout here, that pride of his is his best trait, but his worst enemy. My point, okay you beat people to win, but the people you beat hold the key to your victory. The final two is not a game of endurance, athletic ability, mental stamina, etc., the final two is a game of popularity. And it's almost elementary in a way, but the bottom line is, in the end, the person who is liked the most wins (which is a "no brainer," but when you're out there in those conditions you would be surprised how your brain is thinking, it's a pretty weird deal) this game, bottom line. That's why you have to make sure who you take to the final two steps on more toes than you. And that's when I hear people say that there strategy is "to be a nice guy" or "to be a good person." Well, those are good traits, and I somewhat half-way tried to live by those traits out there. And "those" traits can more than likely win this game, but however relying solely on those traits will not get you to victory lane. But if you can ge to victory lane(final two), those traits will garuantee you a win. It's just the question of how to get there?? Like I said, it's a weird game, I could go on and on, but all I'm trying to say is Terry may have messed himself up for a win in this game tonight with his Tribal Council assertiveness. Maybe not though, we will have to see.......
Looks like next week Shane lets them know there's a New Sherriff in Town!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm needing a little Shane in my life right now, can't wait..............

4/13/06 11:33 pm “Who cares!”, Cirie, you sweet little “Honey Bunny” you! Exactly, Cirie! Who cares? Does anybody remember that everyone around will be on the jury! Is it really necessary to rub in the peanut butter/jelly sandwiches and milk. Yep! You heard it right! GOT MILK? No alcohol this time. Just cold milk. Yummmm! Cirie. Listen to me closely. Do you really want to stay in a profession that has to view red balls with diaper rash, or….would you rather be the comedian that you are? Red balls! Comedian! Not a tuff choice. Girlfriend, you have got a talent! You are one funny girl! I’m on my knees praying that you make it to the final two along with T-Dog, Captain Amazing, Mr. Universe! Yep. If Cirie makes it to the final two, she’ll win this game. As for T-Dog, “Cocky begats Cocky!” Terry is definitely bringing forth a lot more cocky that I like,…but I understand it. The six pack is nothing but cocky! Jeff nailed it at Tribal. Speaking of Jeff. Damn man! You are looking good! Jules must be out there on the island with ya! T-Dog is friggin’ UNREAL! I think he might just win every single immunity in this game. For certain, a big change is in the wind. Aras has got to be shaken in his boots. I loved the moment that Aras puffed up with the women and exclaimed, “Isn’t it great to be able to go up against Terry!” Cirie had him pegged! “Oh yeah!, Aras. Really Great!” We’ll see how you like that challenge next week Aras, because your number is up! Great reward at the challenge. Everyone loves to see the “loved ones” episode. Ahhh Shucks, Shane. You kinda’ showed us your sweet side. However, the weeping is still not enough to win over all those people who didn’t want to know about your balls, or see you stand around with your stomach poked out like a two-year old. I did like the shirt skirt though. Very creative! However, your total honesty to the T-Dog about “going home” will not win you any favors on the jury. However, you’ll be on the jury, so who cares! Shane really is a “cartoon character”! I felt a little envy over the luxury items. We, of course, got a big fat nothing. However, if I were a producer and knew that someone could draw like Bruce or dance like Courtney, I’d really be tempted to give them those luxuries. Great stuff, Courtney! Don’t love the camera do ya? I love your T shirt. Gotta’ know where to get one of those. Your Mom seems like one cool chick! Candles, loves signs, and prayers. That’s right up my alley! Sorry about all those sores on both you and Terry! Sally, you got me all worked up about your parents dis-owning you over your divorce, and there they were all happy to see ya! Are ya’ working us or has there been a reconciliation? Sorry you had to go, but what could you expect from the pecking order? Tonight’s vote was totally predictable. Ho hum! However, change is a foot! Next week we get to start ‘eating the six pack”. It’s about time we had some fun! First Aras, then Shane, then Danielle. That will leave Courtney, Cirie, Bruce, and Terry in the final four. Terry will win immunity and Cirie, Bruce, and Terry will pick off Courtney. Terry will win immunity…again….and he’ll pick Bruce (If he wants to win). However, I would love to see him pick Cirie. Cirie might just win it if she gets to the final two. Hey Captain Universe, you might want to lay back on those cocky grins and all that bragging. The jury is where the action is,…and pride does usually come before the FALL!

4/13/06 10:52 pm I can't tell if the blog for Episode 9 is ready to post on yet, so I'll avoid revealing any post-show spoilers for now until I'm sure. Just wanted to say that with Jenna in Africa and Amy in the Bahamas, it looks like we'll be down a couple of bloggers this week. But since Jenna's in Africa, she won't be in NYC to host Survivor Live this week, so I'll be filling in for her. Check it out at 2pm on Friday on cbs.com. Call in! |
