Biography
Born to South Korean immigrants in Flushing, New York, Rebekah "Becky" Lee was raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School where she played varsity tennis all four years and did international volunteer work in several developing countries such as the Philippines and Costa Rica.

Lee received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in women's studies from the University of Michigan. While at Michigan, she was an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a business fraternity, and the Women's Boxing team. Becky continued on to receive her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While there, she was elected president of the Asian Law Students Association and was involved with Pitt Law Women's Association and Pittsburgh Asian American Young Professional Association.

Interested in the prevention of domestic violence, Lee has been working on issues concerning domestic violence survivors over the last eight years as an advocate, a policy associate and an attorney. She is also passionate about creating awareness of the specific needs of battered immigrant women, such as language access and cultural competency. Additionally, she has worked as a kickboxing instructor for more than six years and has focused on helping battered women regain their confidence and self-esteem through her classes.

When she was given the opportunity to try out for Survivor, Lee decided to go for it because she wanted to break media stereotypes of Asian Americans and to bring more awareness to the prevalence of domestic violence. Now that the show is over, Lee continues to dedicate much of her time to these causes. Lee has created a non-profit organization, the Becky Lee Women's Support Fund, to raise money to help battered women leave their abusers and become more financially secure. She has donated much of her earnings from the show to this fund and continues to fundraise for this cause through events and her website, beckysfund.org. While managing this non-profit on the side, Lee is still working hard in D.C. as an attorney dedicated to advocating for battered women's rights.

In her free time, Lee is extremely active in the Korean community. While she volunteers for the Asian Pacific Islander Domestic Violence Resource Project, she is also a member of the Korean Americans Against Family Abuse Committee and Board Member and Secretary of the DC Chapter of the Korean American Coalition. Since she believes strongly in giving back to the community and helping the younger generation excel, Lee has taken her earnings and set up several scholarships through her high school, Pitt Law School, local church and a civic organization, The Korean Association of the Greater Pittsburgh.

The "fun" Becky loves playing competitive sports, doing hot yoga, traveling to warm climates and going out with her girlfriends. Her favorite sport is football, and she especially loves watching her two favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Michigan Wolverines. She regularly plays co-ed flag football and tennis.

She is most proud of passing the bar exam. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Lee currently resides in Washington, D.C. Her birth date is September 11, 1977.
