Biography

Originally from Danville, Virginia, Jon Dalton attended George Washington High School followed by college at Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg. After college, he moved to Washington, D.C. and Portland, Oregon before settling in Los Angeles.

Dalton burst onto the reality TV scene with the help of his best friend, Thunder D, and the infamous "Dead Grandma" deception on SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS, on which he was the breakout star (and rated as the #2 television moment in E!'s "101 Most Outrageous TV Moments"). He has continued to excel as one of the more memorable faces of reality TV and professional wrestling and signed a contract with TNA Wrestling, combining for the first time the reality television and wrestling genres. He went on to win an ESPY Award for best non-sports sports moment by being body slammed over the top rope by Chicago Bears All-Pro player Brian Urlacher. From Howard Stern to "Tyra Banks," Jack & Ron & Fez to "Living It Up with Allie," Dalton has made numerous memorable radio and TV appearances.

In the reality genre, Dalton has continued to deliver some of the most memorable moments on television. His MTV "True Life" is the highest-rated episode in the history of the series. On "Celebrity Poker Showdown," he "Fairplayed" his longtime friend Trishelle Canatella by eliminating her from the game. On A&E's "Inked" he was kicked out of the tattoo Parlor. On "Reality Stars Fear Factor" he ousted Jonathan Baker and Victoria Fuller and went on to become the first contestant in the history of the show to return after his eviction to serve as co-host. Dalton again shocked the world when he was on the Summer 2005 "Kill Reality," in which he supplied this show with an endless string of memorable moments. He also delivered an inspired performance as DQ in the 2005 motion picture, "The Scorned," which was spawned from "Kill Reality." All these memorable appearances have resulted in Dalton receiving The Most Memorable Reality Star in the History of Reality Television honor at the Really Awards on Fox Reality.

Dalton's birth date is March 11, 1974.

What Fans Are Saying About Jonny Fairplay

iskunder said... Obnoxious or not. He made hundreds laugh. How many people did you make laugh? -->-->-->If he made hundreds laugh, he certainly made millions reach for the mute button on their remotes whenever he had something to say.  Truly, the biggest jerk ever to appear on Survivor, or any other show, for that matter.

Anthrogirl

Maybe Jerry Springer will take him on. That's a good depository for trash. He wouldn't have to become a better actor and he could be openly "evil," fake, and infantile. Might just work for him.

gloliver71

Johnny Fairplay didn't fool you for a second? That's probably because he said on national TV "My Grandma isn't dead, she's watching Jerry Springer!"

I was not a great fan of this guy, first time around, to put it mildly. I suppose that he was brought back for entertainment value but I was not expecting that "entertainment value" to evaporate so fast. According to Yao, JFP is a nice guy on a one-to-one but goes on script to get attention in a group. Since I've never been on a one-to-one basis with him ... the charm has eluded me. I do think that it sucks that this season started with a "Vote me out". It kind of set the tone, though. Have there ever been as many quitters, people out because of injuries etc.? I think he realized early that he was not going to win and felt that there was no point in suffering a single additional day.

Probably the same amount as you!

Man, I can't ... i just i just can't...I feel petrified. Damn it john. You had every one fooled before, why not again?! Man you where my favorite survivor cast away. It was amazing when you fooled every one into thinking your grandma died. Its funny because i wasn't fooled for a secend. but just that plan the idea was overall amazing. I don't know what happend but, that was the most dissapointing time in survivor history.

MadBird11

For about 45 mins. it was the funniest time on Survivor ever!!!! But, he's gone, and I don't know if that's good or bad.

Ran across a bit of Fairplay in the news tonight, seems his lawsuit against Fox and Bonaduce (over his messed up teeth when Bonaduce tossed him) isn't going so well. For those who are into gossip about him, here's the addy. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080312/ap_en_ce/people_fairplay_bonaduce;_ylt=AioaGv3C5mX29dYIu5r595Gs0NUE

This guy is soooooooooo sickeningly stuck on himself...........it's disgusting!  I couldn't stand him before and hated the thought that he was in  Survivor Micronesia.  I missed the first 3 episodes and was thrilled to see that he wasn't present on the 4th.  He thinks he's such a star and so popular.  Was he one of the 4 that was chosen as Most Popular for a Million $ prize that Rupert won?  I can't remember, but if he wasn't one of the 4, then obviously he isn't as popular as he thinks he is.  I'm so glad he's off the show.
