I think this person Mike is a thinker along the lines of Jonathan...I hope he gets another chance ...

Better late than never. I just caught up by doing a marathan watch. It's difficult to talk of Mikey B. without mentioning Joel. Mikey B. was not trying to take over the team; that was Joel's controlling, paranoid misperception... and he was too idiotic to follow Mikey's outstanding shared analyses of possible outcomes. It is Joel's fault that the team really slumphed out early on. Getting rid of Mary and Mikey at the outset instead of weeding out Chet and KB helped cost them challenges which greatly affected their physical wellbeing and group morale from the upstart. The team was lucky to have Mikey B. as he was also a tension appeaser, good for group morale, and generous enough to share insights with the team. I totally agree with Mike's approach of keeping stronger players at the outset -- cos you NEED them to win essentials! (Joel's primeval "seek and destroy, it's all mine so get out of my neandrathal way" approach was never better exemplified than by the way he behaved AFTER his inexcusably sick abuse of Chet in their last challenge together. Refusal to take responsibility, apologize, and justifying his inability to control his anger and cool off quickly are not qualities anyone wants in a team member. (Couldya see the looks on his teammates' faces as they watched Joel continue to play as if he were alone, totally impervious to Chet's ongoing, severe physical battering?) The scariest part of this is that Joel is a firefighter. (So is one of my best friends.) I can see this guy pounding barriers to get the job done; but if you get on his wrong side? Or if he gets angry? Then what?! Miss you, Mikey B. I think you would have gone far, and wish I could have seen you excel in the game.

Mikey B got pwned. He was jumping around and prancing about. Then when he got voted out he had a blank face. First thought throw my head was elite ownage...

i agree with you 100%. joel is such a loser. Mikey probably could've made it to the final 4 if it werent for joel!

Also, I don't dislike someone simply because of how they look. I may dislike them because of their actions. Joel started to seem mean-spirited and egotistical re decision-making.

Yes, Husker, as I wrote before it was Joel who did cutthroat first. Joel started it off, so he deserves the karma. Mikey's response to Joel was natural after what Joel did to Mary/Maria. Perhaps, Joel was not included when Mikey was talking up who to vote out. If that is the case then that might explain Joel's ego-based response. Have a good day.

Rewatch the show that Mikey gets cut. Less than 10 minutes before the ceremony he talks about Joel cutting his girl and says he will pretend to go along to use Joels strength then when tribes get put together he is gone. Then does slash movement across his throat. just after he talks with relish about how he is gonna get Joel he is stung......sweet. He was gunning for Joel, he deserved what Joel did to him, he and his girlfreind were great moves strategically. Joel beat him to it. Well deserved. I think some of you get to dislike a player and see what you want to see. Yes, unfortunately karma caught up with Joel.
Gerrim
I don't recall Mikey saying that , but if he did it had to be after Joel had already cut his throat. I saw Mikey as intelligent and strategic. I think the karma caught up with Joel, not Mikey.

Wow That is a different perception. I do not see Mikey as a nice person AT ALL! He even said he was going to cutthroat Joel. So definately not straight forward, but Karma came his way this week so now they are both gone. Shame I liked how Joel stirred it up.
