After having forged and broken alliances with every girl on the beach, Erik saved himself from their fury by winning Immunity and earning himself a guaranteed spot in the Final Four. But Cirie came up with the hare-brained scheme to convince Erik to save Natalie from the vote by giving her his Immunity Necklace and proving his loyalty to Cirie. At that point, the three of them, Erik, Natalie and Cirie would vote out Amanda. In reality, the second Erik gave up the Immunity Necklace, the four women in the Dabu tribe would vote him out of the game. Natalie put the plan into action and the unsuspecting Erik started to seriously consider giving up his necklace for the chance to take out Amanda and earn favor with the jury by his generous act of selflessness.

At Tribal Council, Amanda and Parvati blasted Erik in front of the jury, telling everyone how he had switched sides and made different alliances with each of the girls. This was the last straw for Erik. Wanting to earn the respect of the jury, Erik gave Natalie his Immunity Necklace and the girls immediately voted him out four votes to one. As Erik left, Jeff Probst told the tribe, "I think that is what you call a life lesson." Erik Reichenbach, the 22-year-old Ice Cream Scooper from Hell, Michigan, left behind his final words: "Damn, Damn! They got me. I should have known better. Those damn girls. I mean, there's one thing to be said about surviving the elements and there's another thing to be said about surviving four crazy, sexy women. I never thought I would be shoulder to shoulder with all these people that I've seen on TV. These are my heroes, and they're talking to me, they acknowledge me as a person. This whole experience is indescribable."

Fallout

The Dabu tribe returns to camp after Tribal Council, where Amanda had surprised everyone when she played the Hidden Immunity Idol, blindsiding Alexis. In order to patch things up with Cirie, Amanda explains to her that she didn't lie; she had found the Hidden Immunity Idol at camp after telling everyone she didn't have it. "[Amanda] had me right at the brink of being willing to make it a tie vote," muses Cirie as she realizes Amanda had been testing her loyalty. "I guess that's what she needed to see to know that she can trust me."

A PROMISE

On day 34, as the sun rises over the Dabu beach, Erik and Natalie make plans. They agree that Amanda is the biggest threat left in the game after she blindsided Alexis and tore Erik apart at Tribal Council. They decide to team up and try to get the Hidden Immunity Idol at Exile Island. Erik plots, "You have to find that Idol because whoever gets the Idol, that's pretty much like winning Individual Immunity." Erik and Natalie promise to send each other to Exile Island if either of them wins the Reward Challenge, so that they can use the Idol as a weapon against Amanda and protect their place in the game.

MIND GAMES

Meanwhile, in the cave Parvati, Amanda, and Cirie debate whether they'll be able to beat Erik in any of the upcoming Challenges. Parvati is adamant that they must do everything in their power to prevent Erik from winning the Reward Challenge and deciding who goes to Exile. Amanda declares, "We don't want Erik or Natalie going to Exile because if one of them gets a Hidden Immunity Idol, it could be the end of the game for me, Parvati, or Cirie." Wondering how to work around Erik's winning streak with challenges, Cirie realizes they can use Erik against himself. She points out, "Erik is whoever gets to him first. If Amanda could get in his head that she forgives him, he'll do whatever she says."

A SECOND PROMISE

Amanda immediately tracks down Erik alone on the beach and puts the girls' plan into action. She tries to convince Erik that they should take each other on the Reward if either of them wins the Challenge. Erik is wary, saying, "Amanda is a very, very strategic player, so I don't know if I can trust her after she ripped me over the coals at the last Tribal Council." But Amanda keeps at it, saying they would make a good team with her being the most strategic player and him being so physically competitive. Amanda connives, "Erik is very naïve, so I definitely think I can manipulate his mind into sending Parvati to Exile." She attempts to turn Erik against Natalie, lying to him and saying Natalie wants him to go to Exile Island to weaken him. She suggests sending Parvati instead to Exile because she's so exhausted and won't look for the Idol and Erik seems to bite, nodding his head. "It's basically Natalie and Amanda who are trying to talk me into some different plan. So it's who do you trust? Who do you really trust here?"

What Fans Are Saying About Episode 13

pokerchick2 said... carriekins said... Train2A said... If ALL one does is flirts yep, I don't like it.  But I see deeper than that.  So she flirts.  To me, Parvati is just being Parvati.  Can't help herself.  Heck, if I had it, I'd dust it off and use it in the game myself!  Along with other valid gameplay, of course.  Which I believe she attempted, at least.. Train2A said... Happy Mother's Day -->-->See, I totally agree with what you're saying.  Yea, Parvati flirts but so what?  That is part of her personality and if you got it, use it.  I actually think it makes her more fun-loving and lovable.  I think she's cute and she's obviously done something right if she's made it this far.  I think she made moves when and where it counted and only if she had to.  She's also kept herself kind of in the background and under the radar a little.  I think beneath the flirty exterior, she's a very smart girl and I like that.  Remember way back in the beginning even before the merge I had mentioned that I liked Parv?  There was just something about her that drew me to her.  I think she might surprise us all.  She sure surprised me when she won that endurance challenge.  I think she's holding her cards close to her vest and has proven to be a very unsuspecting and crafty player.  Go Parv!  :D -->-->--> Sorry this is late, but me too Poker.  Only I began to lose my bias towards her later than you so kudos!!  But I agree you know, with everything else.  The way I try to pick a winner near the end is to see usually who the final 5-6-7 are, and then truly look at their game. In the last week or so.. Parvati snuck up on me, and I began to see what you did, ITA!  Kind of interesting that somebody who is labelled only as a 'flirt' was really making moves in the background and flying under the radar.  She, too endeared herself to me.  I don't know if it's because I can relate, or look at her objectively, but she was getting a bad edit.  And rap.  I started to see more, like you. SHE WON!!!  - Oh, and if you go to www.realitytvworld.com - you'll see that Ozzy kind of 'exaggerated' his friendship with her, anyways.  Ozzy's a good player, but no gentleman, IMO.  He's really lost his shine for me.  He turned out to be a poor role model, and a sore loser!  This really surprised me.. maybe L.A. did it to him? lol Keep in touch! Carrie :)

Don't you have something better to do like going out and getting laid? Maybe, I can fix you up with Natalie. If not that I suggest you curl up with a good book like The Female Eunuch and Germaine Greer can tell you how you're getting screwed. In my era we did have good shows like Ozzie and Harriet or Father Knows Best, but in your era, Father is long gone and you have an 84% single family status and Ozzie of Survivor Micronesia is one of the few survivors of the Ozzie's of my era. Your unwillingness to read The Female Eunuch is like a Jew not wanting to read Mein Kampf eighty years ago. Germaine's last line in her Introduction chapter is " When we reap the harvest which the unwitting suffragettes sowed we shall see that the ANTIFEMINIST were after all RIGHT! I'll appease your laziness and tell you the message in On The Beach, which is that all humans on earth will die because we allowed the state of motherhood to be destroyed. Note that today California just passed a law that allows homosexuals and lesbians to marry within their own sex. The "War" we are both in was stimulated in 1976 by Roslynn Carter sending Kate Millet with her lesbian lover over to Iran and the rest of the Arab land that they should adhere to the American and British Feminist platform of legalizing prostitution, divorce, abortion, and total sexual freedom. By the way, maybe you can fix me up with Natalie and then I could show her what a Gentleman and a Man's Man is.

BigBrotherNo said...I watch the show as a social scientist studying human behavior. -->-->-->That's all the answer I needed. Thank you. BigBrotherNo said...I must say as a product of the 50's I must tell you in my day the girls and women conducted themselves in a far better fashion than the females in your generation. -->-->Obviously I don't know all the shows from the 50s, but I'm guessing that back then there weren't these types of shows so there wouldn't have been any need to... But, of course, not having lived then, I could easily be wrong, so please do correct me. BigBrotherNo said...The fact of the manner is that your generation of women have led this nation into the war we are now in and you and most of your generation of men are too naive to realize it. -->-->Wait, the war this counntry is in or the 'war' you and I are in??? BigBrotherNo said...To help you and any others understand this; as Big Brother I command you to see the movie On The Beach and read the book The Female Eunuch by Germaine Greer and reread the last paragraph of the Introduction Chapter after each chapter and especially before you e-mail me. -->-->I wasn't going to email you... and I don't have time to read those books (though I'm sure they're very interesting and eye-opening), so sorry if by posting this (if that's what you meant by emailing) I'm annoying you.

Reaper915 said...Wow...Three responses from you alone,...EternalFan...I think that your desire to promote some point that is lost on me except for your dedication to a show that destroys the hopes of many who have competed in previous seasons is inane.  I am glad that you like this form of programming.  I have not sought to insult others as have a couple of blog writers here have, anytime an opinion differing from theirs appears.  The blog is designed for all opinions free of condemnation. If you want to insult, berate, or or debuke others, go on the show....Liars and Deceivers would welcome you right in.....If you're women, learn to hunt, trap, or fish worth a damn so you can be of some use to a tribe or you'll sound like the women on the last show....Worthless and deceitful.  Best Always, Reaper  -->-->-->Look I wasn't trying to insult you. All I was saying that if something annoys you, don't purposely keep watching it. And I don't go out of my way to insult posters. I just comment on my opions and how they differ from others. I don't hate anyone here and I don't try to hurt them. I know that people have different views and opinions of things and I love that everyone's different, all I was trying to say was if the show annoys you that badly, stop watching it. Like Amanda annoys me a lot, so whenever she starts talking I zone out so I don't have to hear her. I don't purposely go looking for things she says so I can be annoyed, that's just a waste of my time and energy. I'm sorry for the misinterpretation, I should've been clearer in my other post.

thesultan4 said...Not Fake person? Were you watching the same show that I was? When Parv was on Exile what was she going? Laying in the sun saying she was on a mini vacation. That's quite the way to win. -->-->-->Since when is being fake and being lazy the same thing?Besides, apparently Parv said that having the idol was too much junk and makes too much of a mess, so she didn't want to have the idol. Not putting yourself in a risky situtaion when there's no need to is the way to win. thesultan4 said...Now that it's over it's time to move on -->-->I don't want to move on - this season was great (especially the ending!!!) thesultan4 said...enjoy the next season. -->-->I will, thank you (unless Amanda comes back - oh no, there's only so much of her I can take!!!).

EJetson2 said...There is at least one party game available for purchase in which you are given a word that most people haven't heard before and you are given the choice to say either the correct definition or one of a couple of other bogus definitions, and then your friends have to determine if you were giving the correct one or not. The object of the game is to deceive your friends into either believing that you're giving the correct definition when you aren't, or into believing that you're not giving the correct definition when you really are. You win by deception. Do people think this is an evil game as well? -->-->-->Oh I've heard of that game! It's so much fun (not to mention I'm horrible at it!)!!!In no way is that game evil! But yes, great comparison! It's like the same thing as the outwit part of Survivor, only this time you're playing w/ friends, so technically it should be considered worse!Great pt! Thanks!Ps, people probably do think that game's evil, hehe!

BigBrotherNo

Again, you've missed the point. I watch the show as a social scientist studying human behavior. I must say as a product of the 50's I must tell you in my day the girls and women conducted themselves in a far better fashion than the females in your generation. The fact of the manner is that your generation of women have led this nation into the war we are now in and you and most of your generation of men are too naive to realize it. To help you and any others understand this; as Big Brother I command you to see the movie On The Beach and read the book The Female Eunuch by Germaine Greer and reread the last paragraph of the Introduction Chapter after each chapter and especially before you e-mail me.

I often wonder when I watch Survivor, Big Brother, etc. if the final two ever make some type of pact to split the money regardless of who gets it.  I never could figure out why Colby gave Tina the money in Survivor.  I'm sure he has made money by getting some acting gigs and talk show stints. He was not hard on the eyes.
