LindseysMyFav: Do you think the show portrayed you fairly?
Carl Bilancione: Yes and no. Some of the feedback I'm getting is that I might have been too pushy, and I feel that's not being portrayed accurately at all. I played the game with honor and integrity, and that's all that was about.

BushBaby: What would you do differently if you could do it again?
Carl Bilancione: Actually, I don't have any regrets. I just wish I could have gotten to know Kim better so she would have been understanding of the group game plan that would have enabled us to beat the Boran tribe.

My_Name_is_Luka: Did you think Frank was too bossy?
Carl Bilancione: I thought at times Frank could be abrasive. I understood where Frank was coming from, but I don't think the younger people did, and that also contributed to a bigger misunderstanding in our tribe via the generation gap.

hoochie: Carl, you mentioned that you are worried for Generation X. Don't you have two children who are part of Generation X?
Do you worry about them?
Carl Bilancione: Good question! I mislabeled them Generation X; I think they're Generation Y. I do worry for my children, that they won't have the hunger and motivation that made me successful in my life so far. My other worry is that they won't have direction or know what they want to do, and that's what I hope I'm providing them with.

BowedOak1: Don't you think children are the product of their environment and parental upbringing?
Carl Bilancione: I definitely believe that a large part of the child's personality and motivation is due to their upbringing. At the same time, you can't predict if they're going to have a hunger or a desire to chase a dream. With the group out in Africa, I don't know that if it was just them playing a game, or if that's really part of their makeup. Therefore, there's no way to determine if the group is totally directionless or if they were just playing a strategy to get rid of the older folks.

LindseysMyFav: What was the first thing you did when you were out?
Carl Bilancione: Took a shower!
