SURVIVOR Host: There are tons of great questions, so let's get started! If you're just joining us, we're chatting with SURVIVOR runner-up Lex van den Berghe. To ask Lex a question, please type it in the space below and click "Ask the Survivor." We'll get to as many of your questions as we can. Let's get started!

Hi, Lex! Welcome to the chat!

Lex van den Berghe: Hey, everybody! Hanging out here in Santa Cruz, ready to field your questions. Bring it on!

mandyky: Hi Lex, congrats on being #3! I hear you get a lot of hometown recognition. What is the funniest thing that has happened to you as a result of being a Survivor, once you came home?
Lex van den Berghe: I was with my wife and we were trying to get some Christmas shopping done, and we decided to hit the local mall. Of course, I was getting recognized and stopped by just about everybody, which made shopping pretty much a challenge in and of itself. One person--after I'd met this guy and his two daughters--tracked me down again twenty minutes later with a cell phone in his hand and asked me to talk to his wife and his eight other kids on the phone!

DrEvil: Did you still trust your gut feeling? And did you ever apologize to Kelly for thinking she put that vote on you?
Lex van den Berghe: Okay, let me set the record straight on this right now! If you go back and watch the video footage of the comments I made in the voting booth when I cast my vote for Kelly, you'll note that I apologized to her as I cast my vote. I told her if I was wrong about her casting the mystery vote, I apologized. As far as my oft-mocked gut was concerned, I think it was dead on from the get-go. Kelly may not have cast that vote, but she was still a snake. Kim, Ethan, Tom and I agreed that even if she hadn't cast the vote, she still deserved what she got, and it was time for her to go.

Santa_Cruz_loves_Lex: Lex, Santa Cruz is so proud of you! Which tribe members are you still keeping in touch with now that you're all back home?
Lex van den Berghe: Thanks a lot, I love Santa Cruz! Santa Cruz rocks! I certainly keep in touch with the Final Four frequently (Ethan, Tom and Kim J.), and I still speak pretty regularly with Brandon, Frank, T-Bird, Kim Powers, Diane, Carl, Lindsey and Linda.

ILoveKimP: How do the Survivors plan to promote AIDS awareness?
