Survivorite: Did you really think that you would be able to talk the others into voting Frank off? Silas Gaither: You know what? I tried SO hard but it just didn't work out. I tried to make it happen, but it just didn't work. MONICA: How did you prepare yourself for Africa? Silas Gaither: I prepared myself by basically cutting out everything I'd been doing. I ate real small meals, meals so small they fit in the palm of your hands, literally a couple bits, and I'd eat five times a day. I drank a lot of water. I'd swim, work out and run everyday. I'd read up on all the survival handbooks I could find. I thought I was ready, but I was not at all. You cannot prepare for this game. Thanks a lot. Switcheroo: What did you do with the chickens and the rooster? Silas Gaither: Good question again! We basically just had the rooster and the chickens sit at camp and make a lot of noise. They'd keep us up all night. They didn't keep me up--I sleep like a rock--but they kept some of my tribe members awake. DrEvil: What did you think when the rest of the tribe threw the immunity challenge? Silas Gaither: Well, y'know, it was actually so hard to see that, because as a competitor it's one of those things. Yeah, I hate to lose anything, and seeing them throw that challenge killed me. It broke my heart, but it was a very wise move for them because it gave them the opportunity to get rid of somebody, and that somebody was me! Jenky: Silas, first of all I adore u, u played the game really well. It's a shame u didn't make it due to a twist of events. My question is, in retrospect, would u have joined the older people's alliance to further your position in the game? Silas Gaither: Gosh, thank you so much for the compliment, that's so sweet. I wouldn't have changed a thing. The game is so unpredictable that no matter what you do, they're going to throw a curve ball at you anyway. Again, thanks for being so sweet.
