Survivor Host: There are lots of great questions, so let's begin!! If you're just joining us, we're chatting live with Neleh Dennis. To ask Neleh a question, please type it in the space below and click "Ask the Survivor". We'll get to as many of your questions as we can. Let's get started!!!
Hi Neleh, welcome and thanks for being here to chat with us today.
Neleh Dennis: Hello everybody!!! How ya' doing?
iLOVEnelehSOOOOmuch: First of all, I just wanted to say that I LOVED you on the show!! YOU ROCK!!! And congratulations for getting so far. I've got 2 questions. 1.How did you learn to adapt to the cameras being all around you 24/7 and learn NOT to look into the camera? And #2 people have compared you and Paschal to Elizabeth and Roger from Survivor Australia. How do you respond to this comparison?? Thanks
Neleh Dennis: Thank you so much for watching and rooting for me! At first it was hard to get used to the cameras, I'd never done anything on tv before and it was really intimidating for about the first three or four days but then I just got used to it. I didn't want to look into the camera because I was afraid I'd see what I looked like out there! So, that was easy. *laughs*
The comparison between Paschal and I -- we just had an incredible bond out there. A lot of people compared us to Roger and Elisabeth and I thought that was great. We got to meet them at the after party and we do have a lot of similarities. I was very fortunate to have such a great person out there with me.
RJM: Congratulations on making it to the final two! I was rooting for you. How did you feel when Paschal drew the purple rock? If given the opportunity, would you have sacrificed yourself to allow him to stay in the game?
Neleh Dennis: I thought being out there 36 days and drawing a rock was a really cheap way to decide who left. You know, I didn't understand when Jeff first told us. I thought the people who had to draw the rock would be Kathy and I. I didn't realize Paschal would be involved until the last second. It made me sick to know it would be left up to that. Paschal was the only person I ever would have taken with me to the final two had I had a chance to do so.
gotta_love_gabe: When you first got there who do you think was going to win?
Neleh Dennis: You know when I first got there I totally thought Hunter was going to win just because he's kinda the all American boy. Even though he wasn't on my team I knew he was some serious competition.
snowy: What was your immediate reaction to the switch after your arrived at Maraamu? What was the first thing you felt should be done and why?
Neleh Dennis: I was really upset because they tore apart our team that was doing so good and we were forced to go to another side of the island and I was away from all my strongest tribe members. The first thing I did when I got over there was inhale the fruit. It didn't take me too long to adapt.
vtfan: Neleh, did you try and distract Kathy during the last Immunity Challenge by telling her she was exposed?
Neleh Dennis: Absolutely not! Had I gone out there to be that type of person I would have made moves like that looong before then. I was really concerned. I just didn't want her chest exposed on national television. I didn't realize how unstable she was.
