Hi Rob, welcome and thanks for being here to chat with us today. Rob Mariano: Hey, what's up everybody? Pretty much we were going out there playing a game for a million dollars and I've already established myself with integrity with the people who know me. I didn't feel the need to worry about that aspect of playing the game and you obviously seem to know that I was playing a game. TULIP: Rob, I just want to know: so many players talk about playing with integrity. I don't think you necessarily have to 'play nice' all the time, but you seemed to have no limits to your using and abusing the other castaways! Why? afriend: Rob, I loved the way you instigated the showdown between Kathy and her former teammates. Did you do that because you liked Kathy and did not want her to have the wool pulled over her eyes, or because you enjoyed seeing the people lying squirm when they were caught? Rob Mariano: A little of both. I really wanted Kathy to know that I was telling her the truth and I felt the best way to prove that was to show that Zoe lied to her face. pal345: Did you have a thing for Kathy? Rob Mariano: No, I didn't have a thing for Kathy. She's a really cool lady but it just about ended there. mudd: Who was your favorite person on the island and why?? Rob Mariano: I think myself and Sean and Sarah bonded real cool. An aspect we all shared was that we wanted to have a good time out there. Sean definitely made me laugh. butterflyshappyrobsgone: Rob...tell us what you really think of John...come on, don't hold back. Rob Mariano: Honestly, I really think John is a cool guy. My comments during the game came off in the wrong way...not so much in the wrong way, but they came off offensive to some people and I truly did not mean to offend anybody. I was just trying to push John's buttons and was trying to get a reaction from him. I've gotten to know him after the game and I think he's a straight up good guy. Robfather: Explain your "relationship" with Sarah. Did you know she had a boyfriend back home? Were your feelings more friendship or more romantic? Rob Mariano: I did know she had a boyfriend back home, but she didn't seem to mind. I was definitely attracted to her, so we were on an island in the South Pacific miles away from civilization...what do you want me to say? *laughs* We're just friends now.  |
