Indy: Butch, what was your greatest fear in the Amazon?
Butch: My greatest fear in the Amazon? Snakes! I do not like snakes, and yet I was in the country that has the largest snakes in the world! How ironic.

rattler: Butch, is there anyone you wish you had gotten to know better in the Amazon? Is there someone you would not care to know now?
Butch: The people that were voted out early from the Jabaru tribe:
all of them. No, there is no one that I wish I didn't know now; I enjoyed everybody's company.

cinderella: Hey Butch, great job! Do you feel your strategy, which involved playing with integrity, was very much different than most?
Butch: Everybody tried to play with integrity, but sometimes there comes a point where you have to do things you need to do to win. I tried to play it all the way with the utmost integrity and honesty that I could. It was a great honor to be chosen by my tribemates as "the one you would trust the most with your life."

Butchisgreat: Whose connfessionals surprised you the most?
Butch: I don't know if you would call it the most surprising, but the funniest would have to be Rob when he did his Casey Kasem countdown. His confessionals were always entertaining.

carebear: Butch, what was the toughest Challenge and the best Reward, besides seeing your wife?
Butch: The toughest Challenge was standing on the perch in the Amazon, and the best reward (aside from seeing my wife) would be the one where I paid $400 for a breakfast and with that got a small mattress and pillow.

Hanna: Butch, you were the most honest player. What would you do differently if you could go back?
Butch: I would do very little differently if I had a chance to go back again. The only thing I would try differently would be a deal with Jenna to get to the Final Two after Jenna won Immunity during the Final Four.

swd2: If Christy and Roger were the Final Two, who would you give your vote to?
Butch: That is a tough question. Very tough, very good question. Man, both people had very strong points. I'll answer that question in a diplomatic way. Roger, early on in the show and Christy in the late stages of the show.

Gerald_Gallant_Pei: Is there anything that you did on SURVIVOR that you regret?
Butch: I don't know if regret is the correct word, but embarassed would be the time I had the wine and cheese and it didn't like me, so I made a deposit on the ground! That was very embarassing for me.

Butchisgreat: Did you think Matt was ever creepy or strange?
Butch: No, I did not feel that at all. Matt and I had many conversations while fishing and doing other activities. He knew what he was doing when he was playing the people back at camp. I kind of enjoyed it and thought it was funny.

Butchisgreat: After watching the show, what do you think went wrong for Rob?
Butch: I don't think anything went wrong for Rob. He played the game better than anyone else in the previous SURVIVORS. He ended the show on being the greatest threat. He was Jenna's greatest threat and that's the reason why he was voted out. She knew she could beat Matt, but not Rob.

sweetness: If you could pick one person to be a lifelong friend who would it be?
Butch: I cannot answer that question because I think all of them will be my lifelong friends at this time. It would not be fair for me to try and just pick one person, because they all have special qualities.

surfinspoon: Butch, was it tough being back at school and not being able to say or do anything?
Butch: Very tough for both me and my family, because they knew I'd been picked and where I was, but we couldn't tell anybody. Man, was it tough. There was a lot of speculation on where I had been because of my weight loss, and everyone knew I had applied for two previous SURVIVORS.

Canya_Kenya: Hey, Butch! Out of all the SURVIVOR contestants of this season, who do you regret voting out?
Butch: There were several I hated to see go that I didn't vote for, but as far as actually voting someone out, it would be Dave. He's the one I really regret voting out.

jay28: Butch, how did you prepare for the game?
Butch: I prepared for the game by exercising, which included walking and weight lifting! I tried to gain a few pounds, but I don't know if that helped me or not.
