Survivor Host: Hey Tijuana! Thanks for being here today. Are you ready to take some questions?
Tijuana: I am!
Jenia: Tijuana, were you shocked to see your name at Tribal Council? Did you feel betrayed?
Tijuana: Good question. Yes, I was definitely shocked 100%. I did not think that I was going to be the next person to go so I was definitely shocked. I really thought that Burton was the next person to go, and I really thought that Sandra and Christa were going to support the female alliance we'd formed. As a result it was shocking.
BurtonsBack: T, how did you manage to look so beautiful the whole time?
Tijuana: [laughs] Well, thank you that's very sweet. I just lived like anybody else but I appreciate the compliment.
Jack_Black: Tijuana, when did you finally discover the alliance between Jon and Sandra??
Tijuana: I did not realize that Jon and Sandra had an alliance until I actually saw that episode. My impression was that Sandra and Christa had an alliance and would never support Jon. So, in the end, I realized I was wrong.
all4jenna: Hi Tijuana, for the Challenge, why did you choose your childhood sweetheart instead of a brother or sister or parent?
Tijuana: First of all, the only family I have is my grandmother and brother and my mother is deceased. I wanted my brother to come, but he couldn't get off of work unfortunately, so I chose my high school sweetheart. He's been there for me through thick and thin for a number of years. He's a very dear friend of mine.
dizzyupthegirls: Did anyone on the island know about Jon's big lie about his grandmother?
Tijuana: No, initially Christa and Sandra I think had an inkling that he may have been lying, but they weren't sure. The rest of us believed he was telling the truth. He tricked all of us...including me, which cost me the game.
LillRocks: Tijuana, if you had known that Jon was lying about the death of his grandmother, what would you have said or done?
Tijuana: If I'd found out after the fact I would have definitely had harsh words for Jon because I sacrificed my loved one for his benefit. I also would have tried to rally everyone to vote him out.
Rupet_theman: Tijuana, how do you feel about Jon now that you've seen him on TV?
Tijuana: Jon is playing the game like he said he would, which is that he has no rules. That's exactly what he's doing. I may have played the game differently, but he still outwitted, outlasted and outplayed me and as a result he's still left in the game and I'm here. I was very mad at him lying but at the same time he played on my emotions I can't blame him for me being a sucker.
DineshLuvsTAndD: Hey Tijuana! I wanted to know why you think Christa called you disrespectful when she voted you off?
Tijuana: [laughs] Probably because I threatened her. Something you didn't see... Jon told me that Christa had matches that we needed to start a fire and she wasn't going to give them up. Because I was closer with Christa, he asked if I could get them from her by threatening her. I went to Christa to say, "If you don't give us the matches, the majority says that you'll be voted out next." That pissed Christa off, and if I were Christa it would have pissed me off too. So, I understand, but she still would not give up the matches that we needed for the fire.
WalkThePlankMatey: Do you feel bad blaming Christa for dumping the fish when in fact it was Sandra?
Tijuana: I did not blame Christa for dumping the fish. She came to me bawling asking to talk to me only. We sat on the log and she expressed her distress and she said she didn't know for sure who did it, but I never blamed Christa. Christa knew that she could talk to me, and I gave her my opinion.
cincysurvivor: Tijuana, what did you think about Sandra not protecting Christa with the "fish incident"?
Tijuana: I thought that was pretty shady on a personal level. As a contestant I totally understand. If she had told the tribe that she did it she would have potentially been the next to go, so I understand why she did not vocalize her guilt.
ColbyIsTheMan: Which Survivor did you get along with best? What Survivor did you get along with the least?
Tijuana: For the best, hands down, Andrew Savage. He's like a big brother to me. I love him, I love him, I love him. I hope he knows that I'd do anything to support him and the family I got to know out there. He is near and dear to my heart. On the other hand, the person that I disliked the most would be Nicole. She was very judgmental in the beginning without getting to know me. As a result (once we formed an alliance) she tried to stab me in the back. But instead, she got the short end of the stick.
WalkThePlankMatey: Besides Jon, who is the sneakiest on the island?
Tijuana: Definitely Sandra, and I have to say that I respect her for her discretion. She's done a fabulous job understanding everything that's going on by being so sneaky. I didn't see that being on the island but watching now, I have a great deal of respect for Sandra.
crzy4650: Hey Tijuana, how did you celebrate your birthday after you left?
Tijuana: I celebrated with a whole bunch of food and a nice shower! I washed my hair, put on good lotion, brushed my teeth! It was fabulous! I shaved my legs! It was great not to be able to only eat but to clean my body after all those days.
Lizard: Tijuana do you think you could have gone farther in the game without telling Jon your plan?
Tijuana: I definitely could have gone further in the game if I hadn't told Jon. My mistake was telling Jon, but that's how I played. That's how I was the whole time: up front with everyone, and everyone knew where I stood. I wish that I had talked to Christa and Sandra once I saw them talking to Jon. Just like with Nicole, if I'd put it on the table, everyone would have known that Jon was a snake.
zenon: Ti...who was the Yummier Honey, Andrew or Ryan O?
Tijuana: [laughs] That's a hard one just because they both have a great personality and they're both very close with me. That's up in the air, I'll just have to say!
DanieuBleau: Hi T, how long was it before Jeff realized Burton has misspelled liaison?
Tijuana: It all happened pretty fast, I'm not sure.
crzy4650: Tijuana, that is sure an interesting name. How did your mom come up this is name for you?
Tijuana: My father's name was Juan so he just decided to have his name in mine. Kind of corny, but it works, and as a result, you have Tijuana.
ColbyIsTheMan: Of those left, who in your mind does not deserve to win?
Tijuana: My first response to that would be the Outcast tribe members that were previously voted out. That's off of emotion, but in thinking about what this game means--don't expect anything. Truly all of them are deserving now because they lasted longer than myself. So, I have a respect for everyone that's still left in the game and as a result, whoever wins the million dollars deserves it nonetheless.
DanieuBleau: When you merged, were you surprised at the power Rupert had in the tribe?
Tijuana: Yeah, Rupert's phenomenal. He blows me away. From the personality he has, he's so giving to his work ethic; he worked so hard to honor his commitment to the Drake tribe. He was powerful. Once we merged he was still supporting the Drake tribe, and at the same time, he helped Morgan and was fair with the food he caught. It wasn't a big surprise, because when he came to the Morgan tribe when we won him, he did disclose some of the ins and outs of the Drake tribe.
Jack_Black: Do you think Rupert's' value was accurately portrayed?
Tijuana: Most definitely. I will say that though Rupert's value was portrayed accurately, there were others who provided value that may not have been shown since Rupert was such a powerhouse in the game.
Skinny_Canadian: Tijuana, what did you think of the way you were portrayed back on day 1, in the Village?
Tijuana: You know, CBS does not have to have a direct interest in who I am, and they showed what they could show in that episode given all that occurred. But they didn't show things that occurred leading up to that confrontation with the store owner. There was a reason that happened. She was trying to overcharge me for a pot. She went from saying it was five dollars to like nine dollars and as a result no matter what country I'm in, I'm not going to be ripped off. I told her I wanted my money back and gave her the pot but she wouldn't give the money back to me. You don't see that as a viewer, instead you just see me saying, "Give me my money back".
rink: Did Burton's Mama actually jump in the water or was that a stunt person?
Tijuana: [laughs] No, it definitely was Burton's mom. She was so good about it because I don't think she could swim very well. She definitely jumped in the water, believe me, I watched her drop!
Jules: The rumors are that you and Ryan O. didn't get along. Is that why you voted against him, or was that a strategic move?
Tijuana: It was a strategic move because I was closer with Osten, Savage and Darrah. Once we merged, we were still becoming closer, but I found out that he was willing to vote me out in place of Darrah. That went against the original alliance that Savage, Ryan O., Darrah and I had. As we all know, Ryan O. loves and has a crush on Darrah. As a result, when I found that out, I was willing to take Ryan O. down. That's exactly what I did, but I told him that to his face. I told him he tried to take me down, and so I was going to take him down, and that's why I put my coconuts in his trough.
justwhatever: What was your opinion of Osten regarding his desire to quit so many times during the game?
Tijuana: Boooo!!! [laughs] Very disappointed just because it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and to say you're going to give it up for all that it took for you to get to this position is disheartening. I like Osten as a friend and he was a blast on the island but I was very disappointed in his lack of motivation and wanting to move forward. I know he had a lot of different things going on with his body, but I too had different reactions with my body. So, overall, I was very disappointed.
WalkThePlankMatey: We hardly see much of Darrah on the show. Can you tell us something about her that isn't seen on TV?
Tijuana: Darrah's a sweet girl and I consider her a friend. She can be quiet but believe me, when you get her talking she can talk! She's fun to be around and I'm glad she was on the island with me. I think just in this game she wanted to be under the radar and that's just what she's doing. She's very indecisive, and chose not to have an opinion, and will only voice her opinion when provoked.
ILoveTijuana: I saw in your biography that you like football. Who's your favorite team?
Tijuana: The Rams! St. Louis Rams, of course! And they won yesterday, big time! Woohoo! Go Rams!
?: Tijuana, great job!! Any plans for Playboy if they come knocking?
Tijuana: [laughs] Thank you very much and if Playboy comes a-knockin'...you know, I'm willing and wanting to seek whatever opportunities present themselves and do what's best for myself. I haven't decided what I will and won't do yet.
