Chris Klein
Biography
Chris Klein began his acting career in the critically acclaimed film "Election" opposite Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick. His performance garnered him a Chicago Film Critics nomination for Most Promising Newcomer and the film received a nomination for Best Picture at the Independent Spirit Awards.
Following "Election" he starred as Chris 'Oz' Ostreicher in the initial installment of raucous comedy "American Pie." He reprised his role in "American Pie 2" the following year.
Klein has featured roles in the upcoming films "The Good Life," which premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and at the 2007 AFI Dallas Film Festival. "Day Zero," which premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and is scheduled to be released in January 2008. And the comedy "New York City Serenade," which premiered at the 2007 Toronto Film Festival.
This is Klein's first regular role in a television series.
His other feature film credits include, "We Were Soldiers," "United States of Leland," "Just Friends," "American Dreamz," "Say It Isn't So" and "Here on Earth."
On stage, Klein starred in "This is Our Youth" in London's West End. Playing the role of Dennis, he joined Freddie Prinze Jr. and Heather Burns as a trio of rich New York teenagers caught up in the new yuppie culture of the early '80s.
Klein was born in Chicago, IL, but grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and currently resides in Los Angeles. He is involved with many children charities including UNICEF, St. Jude's Runway for Life and P.S. ARTS.
