Cartoon Mask


Materials
Crayola Wonder Magic Modeling Dough (white)
screen sculpture armature
acrylic paint, clear spray varnish
ribbons
velvet
hot glue gun
utility knife
fabric, boa, black pipe cleaners

1. Form face out of screen armature.
2. Cover with Model Magic and sculpt details.
3. Let mask dry for 12-24 hours.
4. Cut out eyes with utility knife.
5. Paint with acrylic paint.
6. Let mask dry for an hour.
7. Spray with varnish.
8. Hot glue velvet to the backside of mask and tie ribbons through wire armature.
9. Add details like flowers, boa, hair, pipe cleaner lashes, etc.

The mask will be very soft to the touch at first. The mask is light when completely dry and can be worn comfortably or hung as sculpture. If the Model Magic accidentally rips or tears it can be repaired easily with white school glue.
