Cocktail Journal

sketchbook with wire binding 9" x12" 80lb. paper
glue
ruler
utility knife
ribbon
fabric (for book and bag)

1. Remove the cardboard back from the sketchbook binding. Cut the board into four equal pieces (4 1/2"x6").
2. Cut the paper from the sketchbook into 6"x 9" pieces.
3. Fold twelve pieces of paper in half and set aside.
4. Glue two cardboard pieces to the fabric making sure that the 6" side is the vertical side and there is a 1" border. Glue the edges and fold over the cardboard like wrapping paper. This is the cover of the journal.
5. Glue one piece of 6"x 9" paper to the inside cover of the journal.
6. Attach the twelve folded pieces of paper to the journal with a ribbon wrapped around the center and tied at the bottom.
7. Write or type in mixes for cocktails, entertaining tips or recipes for hors d’oeuvres. A blank journal is always great, too.
*One sketchbook equals two journals.
