Leaf Painting
I painted several original pieces of art for our room renovation project. I used different methods to create the various works of art. For the leaf painting I bought a frame with a matte, art paper and spray paint. I found several leaves outside the carriage house and placed them on a piece of art paper and sprayed the paper lightly with gold and green spray paint. I moved the leaves slightly and added a few more, then sprayed the paper with reds and browns. I removed all the leaves and the ghost image of the leaves created a layered, rich composition. I framed the image when it dried and placed it in the study.
For a variation, feel free to experiment with twigs or cut out shapes to create different textures. It took me a few attempts to get the desired look. Still, the entire project start to finish took less than an hour for an original piece of art. Don't forget to sign your masterpiece.
