Group Art Project

For the renovation challenge each team was required to create an original work of art. I wanted to show an art project that we all did together but with our vast styles and opinions I had to figure out something that worked for everyone. I decided to arrange a still life of flowers on the center of a table. I had everyone paint their own version of the flowers, with a similar palate of acrylic paints, like I do with my art students every week in class. I found four mattes and picture frames the same size, and Heather suggested hanging the frames from ribbons on a wrought iron curtain rod. The artwork looked wonderful and the rod tied the paintings to the room perfectly. It was great to see the four pieces become a singular work of art and the judges had fun guessing the artist behind each painting.
