I used acrylic paint for the body painting on Tim. Please be sure to use "cosmetic grade" paint for bodies or body make-up only. Also, if you plan to use body paint on a child, check the label to make sure it is safe for kids and non-toxic. Before you use any paint on the skin check the label and test a small patch on the body. Tim was not allergic to the acrylic paint but some people are. Acrylic paint does not work well on skin because it peels off easily and it is not the best thing to place on your skin. Make a test sketch and don't be worried if you make a mistake on the "canvas" you can wash it off and fix it easily. Be sure to cover your surrounding work area (including the floor) and have plenty of warm, soapy water and rags near by. Always give your "canvas" plenty of refreshments and breaks and keep the room warm and dry. Remember to take pictures of your creation. This style of art is temporary. To remove the body paint, use cold cream and a hot shower and offer assistance!
