Fruit Wreath
Materials
bamboo
jute rope
limes
floral wire
Gerber Daisies
Tools
glue gun and glue sticks
wire cutters (standard and large size)
measuring tape
Directions
1. Use large wire cutters to cut bamboo into twelve 12" pieces. You will need three 12" pieces for each side of the square wreath form.
2. Hot glue three pieces of bamboo together. Apply the glue about 1" from the end so that it won't show. Repeat until you have made four three-piece bamboo sections. Each section will be one side of the wreath.
3. Lay two bamboo sections on a flat surface; they should be parallel. Lay the other two sections on top to form a square. Each end should not match up but stick out about an inch past the point where the two sides cross.
4. Once all four sides are in place secure the four corners with hot glue.
Wrap jute rope in a crisscross pattern around the corner for added stability.
5. Use a 6" - 8" piece of floral wire to thread through the limes. The lime should be on the center of the wire. Then attach the lime to the wreath using the wire to secure it. Repeat this step until three limes have been attached to each corner of the wreath.
6. Fill in the spaces around the limes with Gerber Daisies. Thread a 6" piece of floral wire through the flower then attach to the wreath. Repeat until spaces are filled or desired look is achieved.
7. Attach a piece of floral wire to the back of the wreath to be used as a hanger. The wreath could also be used as a centerpiece or tablescape. Lay the wreath flat and place candles or a vase with flowers in the center of the wreath.
