Big Foot Casting

The assignment for this particular project was to make something from nature and incorporate a map. I got the idea to do a Big Foot casting because when we go camping, it's all about sitting around the fire telling scary stories. Of course the Big Foot story is a big hit because everyone thinks they may hear scratching at the tent late at night. I took one of those garden cement stone kits and I mixed up the concrete. I then pressed my foot into the cement and scooted it back and forth to make it seem like I had a two feet long foot. I sprinkled the casting with rock, dirt and twigs to make it look authentic and covered the box it came in with the map and label that read, "Big Foot Sighting." I drew and arrow to the exact site we were camping at in Greenwich, Connecticut. For a finishing touch, I mounted the exterior Big Foot label in fur to make it totally authentic. Like Bigfoot himself, why I made this project instead of something else still remains a mystery.
