Mask

The assignment was to make a mask out of whatever materials you could find. I went with sort of an Asian inspired butterfly mask. I wanted it to still look sexy like a mask you would actually like to wear to a party. I shaped the plaster to look like cat glasses, then made branches and leaves out of the plaster, added a few plaster roses and then I painted it with acrylic paint. I took some wire and used handmade paper that I cut into butterflies and mounted five of them on the right side of the mask for an asymmetrical look.
