Masquerade Mask

Supplies
Crayola Model Magic
assorted beads
assorted Feathers
misc. textiles (felt, suede, silk, etc.)
velcro straps
hot glue gun with glue sticks
adhesive spray
ball model
scissors/razor blade

Directions
Take your Crayola Model Magic and roll it out flat. Lay it over a round ball, similar to diameter of your head. Start molding by pressing up against your face. Then place back on ball for approximately 20 minutes. Let dry. Repeat this process several times until dry (consistency will always be foamy, never firm) to achieve the mask to firmly fit your facial structure.

Using regular household scissors or a razor blade, slowly cut out eyeholes in mask, until you reach the desired diameter. Use the edge of your scissors to poke out nostril holes. Cut the excess off the mask till it exposes the upper structure of your face.

Using your hot glue gun and spray adhesive, apply feathers, beads, paint, confetti, textiles, etc. Tap into your creative abilities! Use the hot glue to adhere the velcro to either side of the mask. Wrap around head. For comfort, glue felt or another soft textile on the inside of the mask to protect your face. Finally, give your mask a “once-over” spray with your household hairspray for further protection and stability.
