Ever have the feeling that something is incredibly lifelike, but some small aspect throws you off? Scientists refer to this as the "The Uncanny Valley." When you played video games as a kid, it was obvious to your mind that you were staring at a bunch of pixels. Toy robots were so unreal that you might have even considered them cute. But some things may have started gettng a little creepy. Today, scientists are trying to solve that problem and are even adding small twitches to the movement of robots so they seem more like us. On Extant, Ethan Woods is a boy robot learning how to be indistinguishable from humans.
